This doesn’t seem all that bad to me. Teachers have a lot of latitude as to what kind of supplemental materials they bring into the classroom. The ones I know aren’t ones to sugar coat that kind of thing.

That was my experiance in the 12 years I spent in the Texas school system. I actully got a very good education there. Of couse, that was mostly in the 80s before the state became Republican only.
