See, I hate this comment. I hate the idea that "recreational drug use" and "decent people" are mutually exclusive things.
I mean, fuck, if everyone who had tried coke or smoked reefer got Raptured there'd be surprisingly few (undoubtedly boring) folks left behind.

At a good friend's wedding, she (the bride) and the groom affixed a Go-pro cam to 2 bottles of Malort & then sent them wandering around the reception hall.
The edited video is a masterpiece of grimaces & overwhelmed expressions. Yet I'm the only one who ended up having to chase my shot with a swig of Heineken.

Thank you Che Che, you totally get it. I mean, "cows = Wisconsin" isn't exactly a groundbreaking portrayal of that state/region, but there's nothing inherently offensive about the bovine reference either. It's just winkingly cute.

Eureka O'hara can go fuck off.
I can't believe the ensemble (to refer to it too generously) that she wore in the "hometown look" part of the pageant.

the receptionist is trying to live out the saddest dream imaginable by pretending to be a teacher.
Whoa, way to be harsh Alasdair. Some of us actually teach for a living.

I truly believe, while not the best of the series, Season 7 is a whole lot better than Season 2.

Season 4 is my favorite, but I find Season 7 the easiest season to rewatch from beginning to end. The mythology is so well developed by that point, and the characters already so well inhabited, it's just a pleasure to me to see the narrative train rolling along full steam ahead.
Also, the series finale is just superb.

I've seen a lot of commentary this past week about about Season 7, the series, finale, and overall how it was a swing and a miss.
I loved it.
There's so much to symbolism and meaning to unpack from that final arc of the season after Caleb shows up. The Scythe, and the big reveal in the finale, still blows me away
