And like I just said elsewhere, Sanders has been in Congress since 1990. He’s part of the establishment too.

Also, someone who has been in Congress since I was in high school isn’t exactly an outsider.
Okay, I’m fucking sick of this. The “Democratic Party establishment” is not a thing to be reflexively opposed. The Democratic Party establishment elected Barack Obama. It got Sotamayor and Kagan (KAGAN!) appointed. It promotes marriage equality, abortion rights, racial equality, feminism, and a social safety net.
Man speaks in support of diversity and opportunity for people of color and women.
what’s the point of speaking up at all if this is the kind of reaction it provokes? we get it, no one is as racially sensitive as you. give yourself a pat on the back.
The best thing about Howard Stern is his amazing and selfless wife Beth. Her Instagram is nonstop rescue cat adorableness.
Thank you for acknowledging what an amazing interviewer Howard is! I would, however, amend your statement slightly to say he’s the best interviewer in the game, period - not just “right now.” ;)
Right?
Someone I’m close to tested positive for the BRCA mutation, and opted to have a preventative double mastectomy - her chance of breast cancer was over 90%.
<rant> Alternative medicine pushers are the group of people I loath most in this world. Their either dangerously deluded individuals or, worse, just snake oil salesman making a profit on the fears and vunerabilities of others. It was such a scary and incredibly confusing time when I first was diagnosed with cancer,…
Since I live and breathe trans stuff due to it being issue my family has been navigating for a while now, I’ve probably hypersenstive to how trans issues are discussed in popular culture. I agree that addressing the person, or referring to the person as if they still are Previous Name is offensive, but that’s not what Gervais did. It’s more like he quoted, instead of used, the name. I fail to see how this is transphobic. That’s a powerful epithet. Anyway. People seem to simply take it for granted that…
Fully agreed. I find myself doing a lot of eye-rolling these days.
It seems extreme that simply recalling the first name — while otherwise using the feminine pronoun throughout, and never calling today’s Caitlyn Bruce instead — would be “transphobic.” It’s getting to egg-shelly around here.
Both the article and the comments are saying he was transphobic. Do you hold that view? Can you/somebody explain why?
Actually they are better behaved in terms of breaking laws. Stoners are less likely to get into physical altercations for example.
so what your saying is it’s exactly the same as having alcohol legal, people drinking in parks, liquor stores all over the place just without stoners pissing in the street or getting into fist fights on nights out?
This is the best and most important news you could have unearthed.
Recently, five Japanese women sued the government for the right to keep their last names when they marry. The case…
