Hooray fellow C'ville people! And yeah, it's not like C'ville is lacking in good food options (I would teleport daily for a Bodo's bagel with herb cream cheese) but not a lot that's Southern. Though the po'boys at Miller's are pretty damn good.

I'm from Charlottesville and I remember this place too! I feel like the one problem with C'vile growing up was that there was nothing in town you could accurately refer to as authentic Southern food, but if you just travelled a bit you could definitely find it.

I would agree with you if I felt that Dan hadn't suggested cheating or opening things up as a first resort or just WAY too easily many times before. But yeah, on the whole I agree with you that GF is the problem here. I just think Dan is also being a hypocrite.

It's not really about making those "hot" things malign or illegitimate: of course people are allowed to have their tastes and preferences and not be shamed for it. To me questioning the male gaze would lead to several things:
