I have a HyperSpin installation on my PC with thousands of games from dozens of systems installed, and a variety of arcade sticks and controllers with which to play those games, and I still want a SNES classic.

The SNES mini is emulation, and some people lack the technical know-how to set up an emulator and/or are uncomfortable with the idea of downloading ROMs online as opposed to paying for a legally-acquired version. It’s a simple device designed to bank on nostalgia, and appeal even to people who stopped playing games…

Weird. I’m American and thought the same thing about yours. Looks like a generic box with Fischer price buttons.

While I prefer the EU buttons, the purple and grey look nice together, especially since Nintendo hasn’t made something with such muted colors since.

I prefer the american one because the buttons look like they’d taste better.

It’s generally accepted that this is the nicer console, and I’d agree. However it’s funny, as being from Guam and travelling through Japan through my college years I’ve always had my choice of either/or.. and I went for the Super Nintendo. I actually think you got this the wrong way around. the ‘adpocalypse’ happened because companies are reactionary when it comes to their image “wait, someone said something we don’t like. pull ads, done.” nintendo is more proactive with protecting its image. they don’t associate with anyone they don’t approve of first.…

I got the same email this morning. I don’t think it’s as bad as everyone is making it out. Basically, the wording seems to indicate that they cannot for whatever reason intercept monitization of streams. Maybe it’s legal or maybe it’s policy, no idea.
