Sorry for the late reply, it shows how much I don’t give a shit about your comment. But, something of a curiosity took me...how can you be so certain that I will be all over this game? I just watched an hour of footage and it pretty much cemented the fact that I will gladly pass...I just want to know your logic for

Bad character development is still bad. I want to play a game; not watch a movie, thanks!

Instead of resorting to name calling, why don't we have a discussion next time? Is that so hard?

Thank you...I love how when one expresses oneself how people resort to name calling instead of having a discussion. It shows how shallow their point of view really is. Thanks for responding with something reasonable! I actually watched the entire video and was glad I did...because it firmly cemented the fact that I

Wasn't there just an article about how blacks are afraid to cosplay? They should take a nod from these guys.

I already made the decision that I will not get the game. This is an open forum. People can discuss the game from all angles, including the negative. Try to grasp that, a little.

It’s not like it added to the discussion. If you can’t keep things friendly, then don’t bother posting.

Bad character development is bad. In the hour or so of this video, Square-Enix was unable to convince me that their story has any footing. As I have said in other posts, I love good character development. Final Fantasy 3, Earthbound, Thief Gold...they all had excellent character development. I’m not interested in

It’s not cool to hate this game. I just watched nearly an hour of gameplay, and I found that was plenty to come to an informed decision. How dare they do bad world building and bad story telling. You’re right!

Wow, I thought we were having a pleasant discussion? That degenerated quickly. Thanks for resorting to name calling; it says a lot about you!

I don’t want to push through 30 minutes of this game, and I agree with you on the unlikeable main character!

I literally just played it this weekend. Played for 2 hours and had a blast. It gets to the point rather quickly, and it actually makes you care about the characters through meaningful story telling.

This made me lol.

Why should I have to play 50 hours of a game to get to the point? Isn’t that a waste of time?

I love storytelling and world building. I just don’t like it when it’s really bad!

You call that tripe in the beginning “story?” Character development, story, and dialogue should be...oh, I don’t know if I’m reaching here....interesting! If the first 20 minutes contained anything meaningful, I would actually enjoy it.

US SNES version, FF6. I don’t really care much to differentiate them, because my cartridge says 3 so I call it 3.

I’m actually comparing it on it’s own merits, and with older Final Fantasy games. Final Fantasy 2 and 3 did a great job of setting up back story, quickly, and getting you to actually playing the game. Modern games are all about graphics and movies, and less about actually playing a game. If you like that sort of

No. This game is wasting the players time. If a game makes me wait 21 minutes for 4 minutes of action, then I’m out. Even a game as old as Final Fantasy 3 got you into the action within minutes. This game looks totally pointless, for me!

Dude, the first 21 minutes was meaningless bullshit, then you get to fight for 4 minutes. Why should the player have to wait that long to get to the fun part? Even in old school RPGs, they let you get to the fun parts much quicker. This game is wasting the players time. All fluff and no substance.
