Those two points are unlrelated. Facebook is a social media site. It is not an advisor of marketing and PR. Give me a fucking break...

They aren't lying. They came out and said they fucked up, and apologized. And they are lost? Right...tell them they are lost after they make a huge profit off of this.

Exactly! He came out and said he fucked up, yet people are still getting all up in his face about it. It's just a peripheral that nobody needs to buy...it's not like he was pulling a pharma-bro, here!

TV is essential? TV is just another peripheral, not a need.

From what I hear, you aren't paying for a peripheral, you are paying for an experience.

600 is too much for you. There are thousands of people that probably wouldn't even blink at the price. Plus, credit cards will make buying easier for people who can't afford it off the bat. So, no. This won't be dead, as you say. It will be dead to you (and me!) but this thing is gonna sell like hot cakes in winter.

“I’m bitching about the price but I’ll buy it anyway.” Let me get my tiny violin out for you, you poor thing...

People WILL buy this. Bar none. What you're saying is that YOU won't, therefor others won't. I know I won't buy it, because VR is stupid as fuck. Just go outside. Free VR.

He apologized for his fuck up. Why are we still railing him? People will still buy this anyway. I sure won't! 600 is too much for me and VR sounds boring.

You're not missing much on metal gear. Your best bet is to hit up YouTube and just watch all the cutscenes. Then you'll get the gist of the game for free!

I actually just finished my video game collection, doing just what you said. It was a long trek, but worth it. When I got a copy of Super Metroid I was filled with such child like glee that even my wife thought I was a little crazy. My collection is pretty humble, but it has things relevant to me that I love so I

That's smart! Sell them in ten years! Profit!

Wow, the Earthbound gift is immense. That is one expensive RPG and definitely one I miss. I used to have the scratch n sniff players guide! I loved that so much. Maybe I'll save up for a good copy of it one day!

This. So much this. What a great post. I just made a similar change and I’m enjoying my games so much more. I literally squealed when I got Super Metroid in the mail. Played it for an hour and felt so warm and fuzzy.

I used to have that same problem! There is a way out...you have to be honest and brutal about your game collection. If I owned a game that I didn't touch for a year, then I got rid of it, no questions asked. I sold about 60 games on eBay like that and made about $1600 bucks. Rad!!

We’re talking about video games, not life improving actions. I say it’s silly to have a video game resolution centered around “beat this game,” etc. a good resolution would be “play less games” or if you don’t get enough playtime “play more games” or “only play games that I find meaningful and interesting instead of

If I own a game that I hate playing, I sell it on eBay. Save some time, man, and skip Witcher 3 if you hate it. Spend time doing things you enjoy!

But why do things that you don't really want to do, just for the sake of staying up on conversation? As for your other two examples, I have no interest in literature or movies...not in that way, at least, so I don't feel compelled to read or watch the media you mentioned. Witcher 3 never interested me one bit. If I

For some people it's a lifestyle. Can't say it's an incredibly useful one, but all these guys that have YouTube channels are definitely making gaming a lifestyle rather than a hobby, like we do. I often wonder where people like that will be in ten years.

If you never had time to play and beat a video game, that probably means you are doing something more important in life. That's a good thing!
