One thing the Oscars has long had a problem with is leading comedic performances. They love honoring comedic performances in supporting roles, but they don’t seem to understand how hard a high quality performance in a comedic leading role is. I’m not saying that all comedies get snubbed, but it is a matter of fact

The story on secondary malignancies from CAR-T is still evolving, but it is pretty clear that the benefits out weigh the risks and there are more significant side effects to be concerned about.

Netflix just isn’t a good deal anymore.

Mrs. F. started watching this right off. I was always in the room dicking around on my phone or laptop. But then I started paying attention and dammit if now, by S5 I can name almost the whole cast. Almost.

Bummer! I am NOT the in the demographic age for’ this show, but there were never shows that included me when I was the “right” age, so I was immediately hooked on The Fosters. The continuation of the story on Good Trouble is like home. I will mourn the loss of the show, and the ability to keep up with the Fosters as

Well yeah, but it wasn’t out of respect for her privacy.  It was because if he names her she’ll have no choice but to publicly say yes I accused him of groping me because he did grope me, and there’s no way that turns out good for him.

Why does this sound like someone trying to get ahead of a damning expose that is about to drop...

Well, it’s not like we as a society are constantly accusing women of bad attitudes based on a brief sample of their overall demeanor. And I can’t even bring to mind any recent examples of people on the Internet seeing a woman react to a bad joke on an awards show and then en masse blaming her for something someone

Award show hosts have flopped before (Oprah? Uma. Uma? Oprah.) and will flop again, but he lost any good will from me when he started reprimanding the audience and throwing the writers under the bus.

People are complex, much as the internet tries to reduce them to a single trait or event.

He is literally the #2 guy in one of the overtly damaging cults of the 21st century.

It’s not just that he’s proselytising it, he’s been the de facto number 2 after Miscavige. He’s not just aware of the abuse, harassment, blackmail and borderline slavery of lower ranking Sea Org members, he’s responsible.

I think it’s also fair to consider how he may or may not treat people he sees as “on his level” (e.g. costars) differently from those “beneath him” (e.g. low-level scientologists)

There are a lot of people out there who don’t know the shit that Scientology has pulled and continues to pull. Though anyone in the acting business is doing themselves a disservice if they don’t look into it, if only to save themselves a lot of time and money.

There’s an alternate timeline where Marvel didn’t botch the ‘Agent Carter’ series and it’s currently in its ninth glorious season.

I feel sorry for people who don't want more Haley Atwell.

It’s been especially fun watching people try not to sound like they just hate female superheroes as they insist following up on the first season’s most popular character means she’s being “shoved down our throats.”

he still had to miss rehearsal—and, according to the rules of the school at the time, that meant he still wasn’t allowed to walk at graduation

If you don’t expect it to be a masterpiece, you’ll enjoy it. It’s a straightforward & unpretentious action movie. It’s just not as engaging as its more novel predecessor though. It could’ve been better if they didn’t bench Mera.
