I’m not sure Nico even knows how much danger Eve has put him in. She’s given V at least three reasons to kill him, and V doesn’t need much of a reason.

This finale was a perfect ending to 7 years of ever escalating insanity that is the world of VEEP. Everything clicked with me, and the final scenes of soldiers trying to open Selina’s vagina-shaped crypt doors and then struggling to shove her coffin there, only to be cut by Tom Hanks’ death were the perfect ending for…
“So emotional, right? This is why we need a woman in office.”
It was such a wonderful palate cleanser after that *other* episode I watched tonight.
Let this be a message to all you sycophants in another White House. No matter how obsequious and (inexplicably) loyal you are, your masters will sell you out to save themselves in a heartbeat.
Gee, what a great ending. Funny how a show that simply stays true to its characters (yes, even until their deaths) can turn out wonderfully executed.
“Being Vice President is like being declawed, defanged, neutered, ball-gagged, and sealed in an abandoned coal mine under two miles of human shit! It is a fate worse than death. Besides, I’m not gonna die, ‘cause I got the heart and the twat of a high school cheerleader who’s only done anal!” - President Selina Meyer
Thinker? Thawne? Zoom? None of those really qualify.
I would be down for it. I bet Jesse Rath would kill it.
It doesn’t help that they’ve clearly introduced Kelly for the sole purpose of becoming Alex’s girlfriend.
Cat Grant for president. Oh HELL YES.
I perhaps only after watching this episode and seeing him as Brainy as Lockwood really appreciate Sam Witwer. That was some Tatiana Maslany like shit
I was watching it, and I was thinking “This is definitely from a comic. There’s no way any TV writer would be this cracked-out about the power-of-the-sun thing.”
Lockwood realizing he’s just been a pawn in Luthor’s game was pretty great. Like, if he hadn’t been so detestable the rest of the season, I’d be rooting for him to pull a full face turn. But it looks like he’s just gonna give himself super-cancer and kick the bucket that way at season’s end.
Since I know it’s gonna get a lot of mentions, Supergirl pulling sunlight out of plants is not entirely out of nowhere! In Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns, Superman takes a nuke to the face and it nearly kills him, leaving him a borderline skeletal mess. But he sucks the sunlight out of the plants nearby to…
CW has left money on the table not doing a Midvale prequel show starring those two kids doing their best Nancy Drew.
Witwer as Brainiac-Lockwood was hysterical.
I was really happy to see more of Izabela Vidovic as young Kara and Olivia Nikkanen as young Alex, they were so great last season in the “Midvale” episode. I would have liked for more of them, but I was glad that when Alex got her memories back (yay! finally!!) she had flashes to a bunch of memories of young her &…
I really loved how Lilian declaring her love for Lena totally threw both of them, Lena was totally stunned and Lilian was so embarrassed.
I agree the show is in a bit of a lull, but I wouldn’t say there is no tension. The scene were Villanelle says Eve only matters because of her is very tense Sandra Oh plays it very well. She's obviously shaken and reminded who she is dealing with, but still trying to maintain control.
