that’s what makes the show’s writing/choices so frustrating. every once in a while they do something right and she knocks it out of the park, then they go back to sidelining her or making unspeakably stupid choices and you’re reminded how much potential the show wasted all over again.
the one unifying reaction to the Dear Evan Hansen movie was that Ben Platt absolutely cannot play a teenager!
yep. Sara is clever and quick-witted but there’s absolutely nothing in the Arrowverse suggesting she’s book-smart. it’s nice characterization in a TV landscape that tends towards genius creep whenever a show wants a character to know something for plot reasons.

yeah, I appreciate suit2.0 for giving us “Pants!” but it’s not a great suit.
-Haaaaaaahahahahaha Nyxly’s initial reaction to Lex.
yeah, the contrast between the coolness of Irene’s marriage to Brian and the intensity of her obsession with Clare is a lot.
I wonder if the adaptation excised the novel’s homoerotic undertones or if the reviewer just...failed to notice.
and while you wouldn’t know it from Brandi Carlile’s performance, the SNL stage is notoriously atrocious for musical acts, so it’s not necessarily a performance you’d want to short preparation for.
lol they were certainly more explicit. probably even more obscure, although it’s hard to verify with streaming.
in the grand scheme of Marvel? 6 episodes of Joey Gutierrez as a tertiary character in a show with a few million viewers is pretty obscure.
