When a Republican wins and passes Draconian shit you have no one to blame but yourself. This guy is a Democrat and likely could be swayed to the pro choice side, but no, not good enough. Good luck getting birth control paid for by insurance two years from now, thanks for getting more fucking Republicans elected.

Hunting cannot put someone in the same category as an asshole racist pedophile...

Yeah. Everything I’ve seen from him just seems to confirm that he’s pretty sheltered and ignorant, but ultimately genuinely well-meaning. I don’t think he’s a bad guy, just clueless. It’d be nice if he started to get exposed to and started to understand some of what he’s missing. But every time I see criticism of him,

My guess is that because he is a Christian who is also a gun enthusiast he feels at odds with the fact that he’s ok with the liberal values he’s around — marriage equality, taking care of the environment, etc. As a (very) liberal Christian myself I know that feeling. If a person is truly following Jesus’ teachings,

But a lot of people identify with their roots even if they’ve “made it.” I can’t fault the guy for still thinking in those terms if that is how he actually grew up.

Well, it is his background. He came from Minnesota and his parents were both blue collar (working in supermarkets and mining). Also, from his interviews, it sounds like Pratt isn’t very comfortable with the Hollywood lifestyle.

In his defense, I have money now (though not 30 million, sadly), but my childhood very much made me who I am.

I kinda disagree with that sentiment.

1. It’s not like the Republican Party just started “messing with [her] community” after the election after promising to support trans rights.

2. If the “dealbreaker” for Caitlyn Jenner is “messing with [her] community,” then it’s pretty clear she’s totally cool with Republicans (or any political party) messing with a

I’m 30, so maybe well beyond the age bracket meant to appreciate all of this—but is it me or does this all seem aggressively stupid?

“We’re going to come out and join you and enjoy your company for a roll, a great Easter egg roll. And I don’t know if people are going to be successful, but I know a lot of people down there are going to be successful. I’ve seen those kids, and they’re highly, highly competitive,”

Melania is the embodiment of “long suffering wife compensating for her husband’s increasing dementia”. She looks exactly like my Grandma nudging my Grandpa when he’d fall asleep in public or say something embarrassing.

He later kissed a baby, signed it, then threw it into the crowd, mistaking the gasps of shock as applause.

It’s a vicious circle right now where people don’t turn out to vote for Democrats because Democrats aren’t really even trying to win votes because people aren’t voting because Democrats aren’t trying.

And again, you aren’t aware of whether he’s talked directly to Tig Notaro or not. No one is saying gaslighting hasn’t occurred, and the only reason anyone wants CK to make a public statement is for him to take some measure of responsibility, which he may owe Tig Notaro, but he owes literally no one else. We don’t know

Full disclosure, I work in comedy (In Canada so on a WAY smaller scale), and comics can be the worst at keeping up with their peers. Mostly because we don’t want to be subconsciously influenced... But also because we’re self absorbed.

I don’t think the clown performing for one lonely adult is an idea that is impossible to reach by 2 separate people. Clowns are a common theme lately... Also, comedians think about this exact thing all of the time. Having to entertain an audience that is not for you, in a shit/creepy setting is something many comics

Does anyone know how writing credits on SNL work? Everyone keeps calling it “Louis CK’s clown sketch” but do we know if he actually wrote it?

Even though I think it’s reasonable to call this close of a loss a success, never forget how adept democrats are at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Well it seems to be fucking up the point of the original statue. The bull isn’t a hooray Wall St power symbol, it was meant to criticize the insanity of greed driving the market to collapse. It is a big fuck your false idol installation, but now everyone is like yeah girl SHOW THAT BULL which makes the girl the
