His reaction was definitely juvenile and over the top, but I’m still kinda with George Lopez on that one. We all know comedians at comedy shows are known to make more than the occasional offensive joke. If your skin is that thin that you are compelled to stand up and give the finger to the comedian - from the front

Agree 100%. Having been born and spent a major portion of my life in Latin America...I can say that (in my experience) Lopez is not wrong at all about many Latinos being opposed to dating/marrying black people. This is especially prevalent among the older generations.

I mean, because us black people are pretty familiar with this Latino stereotype. Not that funny, but, like, I’m not really that offended. Setting this up as him “telling a racist joke” seems to take this out of context.

It’s a comedy show... There are racist jokes a good percentage of the time. And people heckle. And hecklers usually get roasted by the comedian. Deal with it. Why is this news?

How big of a narcissist do you have to be to think you can interrupt a performance just because you didn’t like a joke?

I feel the same. I think Trump is a spoiled brat who has had everything handed to him from birth. He’s an 80's teen movie villain. Now Bannon... That guy is evil. If he had not found a way to turn his website into an empire, I could see him being one of those people who walk into a church or a mall with a loaded

I don’t think he’s evil, I honestly think he’s just kind of dumb. A vast swath of people praised all of his idiotic rambling so he just keeps at it, upping the ante every time until eventually he says shit that he never thought he would, just to feel like people care about him. Honestly I am starting to pity him more

I’m gonna leave this here:

Tonight when I heard this news, my mind immediately went to the Saturday Night Massacre. But things generally happened at a much slower pace back. It was more of a drawn out ordeal. It’s interesting to note that it was the Saturday Night Massacre that really spurred the calls for Nixon’s impeachment.

Sally Yates wasn’t fired because she was “weak” on border security.

Trump is hell-bent not only on maintaining his travel ban, but also—crucially—on being obeyed.

An astute point from The Intercept’s Washington editor: Trump had to skip over three other US Attorneys to get to one he liked.

If it wasn’t clear before, it’s time to go absolutely bonkers on Sessions. If it means filibustering risking the GOP going nuclear, so be it. Trump has already gone nuclear and it hasn’t even been a week. And, if they do that, then the Dems should just walk out the Senate chamber onto the front steps of the Capitol.

I bet Trump wishes he also had the power to fire Bill O’Reilly now:

In the US Holocaust Museum. It’s not a fucking to do-list Bannon!

Calling it a “betrayal” is terrifying. She took a stand, one that is valid and defensible, and rather than even try and talk with her or convince her they just removed her and replaced her. Replaced with a stooge that will of course open the whims of the authoritarians in the White House inner circle.

Glad that Kim K’s posted that... I believe her audience is not political, or even republican, which means that she has a basis for educating them. Facts! They still exist.

It’s 2018, Melania Trump finds that Tiffany gift box chucked under some sofa in a dusty White House office - unopened. Dies a bit more on the inside.
