This is in line with my anecdotal experience with Trump voters. I don’t know anyone who is still “Trump’s going to make America great!” They largely find him embarrassing. But they hate Clinton so much that it just doesn’t matter.

To me, things like this aren’t about the undecideds so much as the reluctant decideds. I think there are a lot of “decided” voters who are voting Trump because they’re Republicans and feel like they have to. This is one election where some well worded editorials and pleas from people they respect may actually get

They basically said “look, historically we reflexively support Republicans regardless of who their opponent is because we are conservatives dammit. But even we see that now is not the time to vote Republican just because you always have.”

But it’s not like anyone sitting on the E-board now was involved in repudiating FDR. And, in their defense, FDR was incredibly fiscally liberal for his time. Eleanor nudged him to be more socially liberal, as well.

I kind of thought “we didn’t like JFK but we like Hillary” was a pretty strong message.

They did it in kind of a curious way, focusing on all the great American presidents they didn’t support:

I thought Trump came off as legit unhinged. He almost foamed at the mouth during the tax returns segment. Same with the Iraq War support. CALL HANNITY! ASK HANNITY! HANNNNIIIIIIITY!

The immutable characteristic thing is really problematic, because so much of the racial discrimination present today isn’t based *directly* on skin color, but rather on stereotypes associated with racial groups. There is some precedent that recognizes this (too lazy to pull out citations right now), but the fact that

Could it be that intelligence is a highly valued characteristic in a setting like Oxford, so they are surprised that someone held in high esteem could be responsible for such a terrible act? When we look positively and/or admiringly at people who have abilities or qualities that we consider to be impressive and

Assuming people’s sexual orientation/identity makes me uncomfortable. Even if they are privileged rich white guys.

Going to play Devil’s advocate here: I grew up in SE Ohio where the opioid/heroin problem is arguably worse. The small towns where these terrible situations take hold do not have the same manpower or financial resources the larger cities have to address the myriad issues that opioid abuse creates. This may be the only

Right, its the fault of the police that his parents are gigantic pieces of shit.

How would this have been a case of Cinemark “bilking” the plaintiffs? What does Cinemark need to apologize for?

you guys need to apologize somehow to avoid fallout.

No, he’s going to veto a bill that would open up the US to all kinds of foreign lawsuits.

There was no one else to sue. And some really shitty lawyers convinced them they could win.

Defendants’ goal has always been to resolve this matter fully and completely without an award of costs of any kind to any party

Well it WAS a bullshit lawsuit. But perfectly legal.

Can you guys seriously leave religious women alone tho. Unless she is actively going around and shutting down planned parenthoods, or whatever just leave them the fuck alone.

There is nothing inherently feminist about anything except for not being treated differently (more oftenly, worse) because of your choices, actions, and beliefs since you don't have a penis.
