From the BBC:
Are you fucking serious? There’s maybe a 5% chance she’s joking. Seriously, go read her tweets.
I don’t know, she has a history of really moronic tweets. We know the first tweet was a joke.
People don’t seem to get the give-and-take that comes with tattoo artists and clients. You can get exactly what you want...but it’s still their work. Their art, part of their repertoire! They have every right to refuse a job, just like as a photographer I have every right to refuse a job that I don’t see fit for me. I…
Man, how do all these people in the comments not know about Gucci Mane?!
I hate to be Team Tattoo Artist, but just like you can decide where you want your tattoos, he can also decide what work he’ll stand behind and what he WON’T. Clearly you have artistic differences, as evident by your contempt of his other work. So why would you use him in the first place?
I understand why this was an upsetting experience, but tattoo artists refuse jobs all the time for all sorts of reasons. Many have a no necks, no hands policy - it’s quite common. And, as you discovered, what’s off-limits to one artist is totally okay with another - you were able to get exactly what you wanted in the…
The logic he employed is common in the tattoo world. I have had tattoo artists strongly persuade me to get one tattoo over another, placed here instead of there. I listened. Had I not, I would have kept shopping. You threw a fit and as far as I can tell, it has nothing to do with you being a woman. You’re attempt to…
Yes, yes, and yes.
Fantastic letter.
Also, if any of our mothers hadn’t chosen life, we wouldn’t be around to regret our non-existence.
True story. My sister once raised money to save the Brazilian Rain Forest despite the fact that she’s not, in fact, a marmoset.
How much more wanted and loved they will feel when she tells them that they were chosen, that they are alive because she chose not to kill them.
I'm unconvinced that this drug could be better than talk therapy. Arousal is psychological. But I'm happy to admit I'm wrong if proven so.
Notice this article, like so many others discussing the topic, creates a false equivalence between flibanserin and Viagra.
Can we please state for the millionth time that a drug to treat low libido is not a female Viagra? Viagra only facilitates blood flow to the penis following arousal. A female counterpart would be an estrogen suppository that aids post menopausal women with vaginal dryness. There is no approved and effective drug to…
This is a false equivalency. Viagra doesn’t provide “libido.” It gives people with the interest in having sex the mechanical ability to have sex. IE “Man, I really want to have sex, but my penis doesn’t work.” Not, I really wish I felt like having sex.
Not to be that guy, but are you really OK with him seeing people being decapitated and eviscerated as long as the sex has been cut out?
