I’ll say this, I don’t know if it’s the culture but when I went to Germany they were all very receptive to my allergies. I barely spoke German but I was still able to communicate that it would be a bad day for me to have nuts and every waiter/waitress I interacted with was very concerned and made sure to steer me

I’m right there with you. I enjoyed this game but it wasn’t the game the hype machine made it out to be. You can play it once or twice but then I’m kind of left thinking, ok now what?

That’s strangely almost exactly what I do when I’m stressed. I remind myself it doesn’t really matter. The supposed importance of this task/work/job/whatever is inflated.

Tell me when they do a remake of FF6 that doesn’t such. :(

This thing. What is it? I can’t find a link for it anywhere.

What’s that orange thing that looks like a flashlight in the top pic? I can’t find the link to it anywhere in the post.

And that's where you lost me. You've essentially said, "If you are willing to give up a few of your other hobbies to get really really good at this one thing it's very safe." and that's a perfectly acceptable answer but not everyone has that amount of time or the desire to put that much time into learning to ride.

I never made it to the end. It seemed cool and everything but I never made it to the end so it's hard for me to really get tangled up in it the way I was with other games.

That's not what a bullet looks like after it's left the barrel of a gun.

If it actually fired I would pay $900 for it easy.

This reminds me of the Scotty from Star Trek method, tell your boss it will take 4 time your estimate so when you do it in only twice your estimate he'll think you're a miracle worker.

So I'm not allowed to talk to anyone else ever at all unless it's required for work or to make a business transaction such as ordering food? This the world you want to live in? Are you always such a bitter and cynical jerk or just on the net?

I'm trying to. There is some adjustment. Everyone out here is colder than I am is seems because no one ever seems to need an AC which is weird

A few weeks ago I moved to a city where I know no one. If I didn't have this ability to talk to strangers I'd have gone mad.

I am 95% certain I got my current job because I wrote a funny cover letter and made it my profile summary on Linkedin.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

Hmmm ok. I'm going to call them to find out when I actually book it. It's still the cheapest.

Cool. Someone told me some of the companies like this will take 3 weeks to deliver it which isn't entirely what I wanted to do but they were the best quote so far so it'd be what I'd want to do.

Does UPack take my stuff and leave it in a storage place for a few months or do I get it semi quick?

There are people that take significant offense to the fact that I even own a gun at all. Mentioning it usually results in someone asking me my opinion of gun laws or asking me what I think about some mass shooter like I am somehow an expert on either laws or psychology. It's strange.
