Do any of you have any experience with dental implants? I mangled my top two front teeth years ago in a work accident, and now the root canals have failed. My options are to see if we can redo the root canals from the top down (no guarantees that they’ll last) or dental implants ($$$$$). What a fun way to end the

Absolutely. A couple of my friends from grade school pulled that on their moms, well, without the cult part of the scenario.

That’s exactly what I was thinking, and I’ve seen it happen minus the cult part of the equation.

Mmmmmm, what about in a fit of teenage rebellion mixed in with romanticizing an absent parent?

So, based on this and that guy who accidentally listened to the song the other day, have none of these people listened to Whole Lotta Love? Or how about The Lemon Song? Shoot, there are even more crass songs out there like Titties and Beer, or how about The Bad Touch? Do they think that making music about sex is

Thank you, Megan, for the introduction to Frank Ski. I have always thought that track came from DJ Deeon or DJ Slugo.

Here’s my question: Who gets so upset by a comic that they take the time to write a newspaper to complain? Do/Did they ever write in to complain about Doonesbury? How about Hagar the Horrible? Shoot, is Prince Valiant still running? I’m going to start writing in to complain about his hair.

Do you know what’s fun? Picking 12+ pounds of blueberries today from a local u-pick. Do you know what’s not fun? Hunching over my sink to process those berries. At least the hand pies, saft and/or cider, and me just shoveling them into my mouth will be tasty.

My favorites are that it can and does turn on the camera and mic on your phone for intermittent recordings. It also, if you use your home wi-fi, scans your wi-fi to see what other computers/devices are using it. So, if you’re a defense department employee, for example, and your kid’s phone has TikTok, now TikTok knows

Sadly, it’s probably due to that title of adjunct in the byline.

Sadly (?), this is not my story, but that of a college friend:

That Candid Camera aspect is a benefit in some respects. People can’t hide as well as they once did, or whisper behind their hands. I think that’s what bugs me so much - some people are so public with everything and have no qualms about the ramifications of their words/actions/behavior/etc.

True, and that’s also assuming that shaming actually works/has the desired outcome.

I think the internet has played a great part in this escalation. It’s very easy to be anonymous and say whatever our little hearts desire, while at the same time seeking out voices/people that share similar belief systems.

I think I read somewhere this morning that the viewing was invite only. Let’s hope that his name was left off the guest list.

The Cowardly Lion like in The Wizard of Oz?

I must be just a skoch younger than you, as I, too, had a wonderful relationship with Aqua Net, but not until the late 80s/early 90s. I refuse to show any of my students my junior high school pictures because they’re that bad.

That’s what I’m wondering. Heaven forfend that our NBA players brush up against any germs while they’re hanging out before their season restarts.

You know, this is probably a fairly accurate statistic.

I haven’t seen, nor have I had any inclination to look it up, but how in the small, small world do they sanitize a park that size? I’m assuming that the rides have to get wiped down between groups.
