I’m mixing it up tonight: beer + random red wine from Natural Grocers. I’m sure I’ll regret it tomorrow.

They really are! I’ve been towed all over parts of Oregon, Washington, and Montana (most were that Oldsmobile), and every time our tow truck driver was just the nicest human being.
Summer of 2003, my husband and I are making our annual trek from Oregon back to IA/MN. We were driving his grandfathers 1991 Oldsmobile 98 - a beast of a car. I loved that thing even though my legs stuck to the leather seats during the summer; even though we had to replace the transmission after it broke down during…
Is it just me or does it look like her entire pupil zone is black like doppelgänger Cooper on Twin Peaks? It’s creeping me out.
Can confirm! My husband and I live in Oregon, and we travel back to MN every summer to chill out at his family cabin. Cell service sucks, the deer flies are brutal, but the loons, summer storms, and the lake make it worth it to drive 2000 miles.
Huge Lego fan here. I’m going to second MEtheBarbarian and recommend a tray. Nasco used to make a bigger version, but this is what they have now:
I wonder, then, if they could incorporate in the U.S. and have the corporation own the website. Yes, it seems like a lot of work for a brand, but why not at this point.
Quick legal question: If any of those sites are registered in the U.S. with a .com, what jurisdiction does the British royal family over them?
Former anti-crust kid here: When I was a little kid I had really long straight hair. My first grade teacher told me that if I ate my crust my hair would get curly. Well, who wouldn’t want curly hair?! I started eating my crust from then on, and I’m sure my mom sent her a nice fruit basket or something.
That’s how this whole year is going for me. I think I’m going to have to sacrifice a Saturday in the next few weeks to get somewhere close to caught up. I have so many piles that I don’t even know what in them any more.
Ugh. Why/How did I talk myself into not bringing any school work home over break?! I went into my room today, and there’s so much to do. Any other fellow teacher procrastinators out there in the same boat?
Happy Christmas Eve, everyone. I’m currently chilling here in balmy Red Lodge, MT with my husband and mother-in-law. It’s an absolutely gorgeous day. We’re going to wander around town, take a drive up to the gate and Wild Bill Lake, and then spend the evening trying to convince my MIL that she needs to go to Costco to…
Not a Growing Pains fan? He was totally cute then, at least to my junior high self.
They sure are! My husband and I took a drive a few weekends ago to pick apples from random old trees along the road. These are the result.
South of where I’m at had sustained winds of 86 mph the other day with gusts up to 106. No thanks!
That’s awesome that your move was such a success. Sometimes leaving home is just what the doctor ordered. As far as MN goes, that’s where y in-laws are from. They’re headed up to Leech Lake this weekend to spend a frigid weekend in the family cabin with no water because the well is off, and only a wood stove for heat.…
I’m partly sore due to a volleyball game yesterday, and I haven’t played in a few weeks. I guess that means I should move my joints more than I have been.
The kitchen of my final restaurant job always had fun with their Thanksgiving leftovers. One Black Friday brunch our special of the day was a Monte Cristo made with leftover turkey and stuffing for the bread. Holy cow, was is rich. You could probably make some sort of bastardized version in your waffle maker.
It is! What’s up?
