It’s probably more of an ouch than anything. He’s admittedly not the best at knowing what needs to be around the house (bills, cleaning etc.), although he is always striving to pick up the slack.

The best unsolicited advice I received was from the wife of my in-laws’ best friends at my wedding reception. They’ve known my husband since conception, so they have a pretty good read him. She said, very presciently now that I’m looking back, “If you want something done right, be prepared to do it yourself.”
That’s what I figured. I’ve been busy lately, so I figured I just missed something. The site is still up, but there are only cross posts. Your last sentence pretty accurately explains a lot of what’s going on. I’m envisioning a shrug of the shoulders and a meh with regards to how the customers feel.
Off Topic: Um, did I miss something? What happened to Splinter? It no longer shows up in the menu at the top of the page, and it appears as though there were no new articles on the site today (lots of links to other articles on sibling sites, though).
My eyebrows mostly recovered from the 90s - my tweezers were my best friends. Now, if I could get some of that sweet blue mascara....
The triangle style did lend itself well to the radar/waterfall bang craze of the late 80s/early 90s, though. I will never show anyone my junior high school pictures for that reason alone.
They wanna get hiiiiiiiiiiigh, so high.
Been there, done that. I had the kind of bangs that started in the middle of my head and were triangle shaped, if that makes sense, from toddlerhood until my freshman year of college. I wisely grew them out only to cut new, wispier bangs two years later. It was not cute, and my stupid cowlick in the front could never…
I think it’s her current hairstyle. In my opinion, the bangs, the center part, and the wet look do nothing for the shape of her face.

Neither of these are mine, but they’re too good of low-level pranks not to share.
The first is one I learned from one of my aunts, who has participated is some pretty decent pranks over the years (including fake casts and fake getting pulled over by a cop friend): Step 1: Take some ketchup packets and poke a pinhole…
Teacher here: One thing that has helped me get my head back in the game is to attend a conference at the beginning of August. I’ve had six weeks off at that point of the summer, so getting together with my fellow math nerds helps get the wheels turning. I also start puttering around in my classroom before it’s time to…
I definitely recommend having a job before moving here. In my area the biggest industries are the hospital, the schools, the Coast Guard, fishing, shipping and shipping related like tugboats, logging and logging related, and the casino. It definitely depends on the town, for sure.
There’s only one Costco on the Oregon coast up in Astoria. Those of us on the other end get to go to Eugene, Roseburg, Medford, or order online. I’m two hours from both Eugene and Roseburg, so I have saved a tremendous amount of money not living 15 minutes from a Costco because I can’t just drop by after work. But,…
Pros for Florence: great restaurants down by the river, the Fred Meyer rivals any of the Portland stores, and it’s an hour-ish to Eugene if you need to go to Costco/Target/etc. Gold Beach, though, has that small town feel, awesome mountain roads, and Zane Grey’s cabin:
