I’ve been on it since I was in high school, so I’m hoping age has mellowed out some things. That last 10 years have been a POP prescription, which really messed with things when I switched. I’m hoping that’ll make it easier to go off.

For the first time in 20 years, I am going off the pill! I’m excited and nervous. What should I expect as far as side effects (if any)?

Absolutely. There’s another good one from Oregon PBS about the Rajneeshpuram group/movement/incident. I imagine that the sense of belonging is a very powerful drug to some...http://www.opb.org/television/programs/oregonexperience/segment/rajneeshpuram/
Mostly off topic, but I caught this on PBS a few years ago. It’s both fascinating and horrifying:
My German class girlfriends and I used to call each other Schlämpchen. Considering that our teacher talked about mast tanzen und hash rauchen, we knew we were good.
I am indeed unfamiliar. My current coastal town has some interesting geography, so the marine layer often cause some areas to be consistently cloudy/others not so much.
Boo to that. One of those old school viewing boxes should work even with clouds!
I live on the S. Oregon coast. We’re currently fogged in with the marine layer right now. If it’s anything like yesterday, it’ll burn off in time.
Hey now, flexing those thumbs is hard work.
Random gripe: Is there a reason why Dirt Bag isn’t getting filed to Dirt Bag? I have that set as my Jezebel bookmark, so I don’t have to scroll through everything to find my fix. Hmph.
Not me, but a story about a friend who is working on her PhD. She got set up on a blind date, and at first thought she would at least make a great new friend. Three years later and they’re living together. He’s in a medical profession and she is finishing her comps, so they’re both very busy people. It can happen!
Yeah, I have an old version of the Ikea bag that just has one snap. It’s only good for a laundry bag.
My husband is in a similar boat. He’s Minnesotan, and he’s worked very hard not to sound like one. However, you get him on the phone with his mom, and oh my, he’s eating his toast on a boat.
Like a modern day Job, eh?
No, it isn’t, is it? The majority of the people who would be hit the hardest in my circle are all people who voted for him. I honestly think they’d still execute some amazing mental gymnastics to blame Obama.
In my place we have a dishwasher with a lever lock. If the lever is to the right, meaning locked, the dishes are clean. That way if one of us needs something from the dishwasher ASAP but we’re too lazy to unload, we just flip the lever back to lock so we know it’s a clean load of dishes.
Let’s get those death panels up and running.
Me, too. We’re talking 28 years of support.
I hope so. They came to every school play, concert, and sporting event. It can’t have been easy, but we always appreciated seeing them.
