I was reminded a little bit ago that today is the 21st anniversary of the Challenger shuttle explosion. My second grade class and another grade were all gathered together to watch live in our classroom. We all knew that there was a teacher on board, and second grade me thought that was cool because my mom, my grandma,

No, that’s more like a human centipede.

I went down quite the bear den after watching this, but I couldn’t bring myself to listen to the audio of the actual attack. I don’t want to even imagine what it sounds like.

Yes! On set tutors, terrible stage parents, predatory industry people, etc. It’s like there needs to be a 12-step method for child actors who want break free from Hollywood.

I think a lot of us have had a job/career where it just wasn’t working anymore. I thought I was going to climb the food chain in the food service industry. Sometimes you just have to recognize that this is no longer the career path for you.

It’s Friday, and I’m all out of constructive criticism, but maybe Mischa should take a cue from Amanda Bynes and go for a career change. Just because you were an actress as a child/young adult, doesn’t mean you have to continue being an actress.

One of my cousins in huge into 4chan. The scuttlebutt over there is that she’s a designer baby, as in every trait was picked out and for lack of the correct word, embryo-ized by some doctor in Korea.

Yup. I’ve unfollowed soooooo many cousins over the past several weeks just to make my Facebook newsfeed bearable.

A small part of me hopes things go so far south that it’ll be impossible to support him, mostly because it would make family reunions with my die hard Republican cousins entertaining.

Um, isn’t this the surefire way to give someone the trots? I’m pretty sure I learned that junior high.

I’d like to give an extra special shout out to the anonymous gay man and his husband! He’s a friend from waaaaaaaaaay back in the day, and I’m so happy that’s he’s still a cool guy.

Good question! Niggling is one of my mom’s favorite words that’s slipped into my vocab.

Have a great day, everyone. Be safe, be smart, and make those of us who can’t attend proud.

Thank you for putting into words so succinctly that niggling feeling I’ve had since last year. Well done.

My mother-in-law had something very similar happen about 25 years ago. She got stuck in a some groomer tracks, and each leg went in a different direction. She tore two of the four ligaments, and a third was severely damaged. She had to have surgery, and my husband and sister-in-law helped with the rehab (which she

I learned the lesson as a kid that cat poop in the sandbox leads to ringworm, so you’re not alone in your irritation.

But did the cats ever poop in your sandbox again? One of my husband’s cats used to tip over the kitchen garbage until the behavior was corrected with a Super Soaker full of ammonia. The other cat got peed on. Both cats learned valuable lessons.

Right?! My friends and I are wondering what on earth was going through his head. In this day and age, why would anyone ever think it’s a good idea or that it makes sense to get involved with a student? It’s creepy, there’s a massive power discrepancy, it’s illegal, you’ll never get away with it, your career is ruined,

Yikes! I can’t even imagine what your friend is going through. My issue is that my creep-dar didn’t go off at all. This guy fit right in with the math department crowd - sarcastic, hard working, great at drinking, etc. My math dept. friends and I are shocked and disgusted.

Exactly. I spent 4+ years taking classes with him, and I never would’ve guessed. It’s making me question my judgment.
