My sister-in-law's last stint in rehab was for huffing canned air (computer cleaner). When my mother-in-law told us, Mr. MRob and I were like, what? Seriously? Out of all of the drugs she's been to rehab for, this was the most baffling. Apparently it's a pretty quick high and relatively affordable because you can get

I'm in Portland, and I actually had to put on sweat pants Wednesday morning because my apartment was cold. Oh PNW, how you make me not miss Iowa and all of its humid glory.

Huzzah! Thanks for the update. I, too, have not see these petitioners, and I'm on the PSU campus M-Tr (quite the hotbed of petition signature seekers). The only petitioners I've talked to are the ones at the farmer's market on Sunday, and they were only showcasing the marijuana petition and the snow tires petition.

There are some brands out there that are BPA free: http://www.foodsaver.com/savefood.aspx

I broke down and downloaded Chrome plus the extension that makes commenting manageable. In other words, yes, open thread is pretty sparse tonight.

Alas, I've escaped W. Iowa with all of its blizzards, tornadoes, and corn for the rain of Portland. But when I'm home, I still make an effort to grab a slice of pizza at Zio's in the Old Market. I still miss going to Homer's for new tapes (yes, I'm that old).

"Will you be here all week?" says the lapsed W. Iowan who very much prefers Omaha to Council Bluffs.

Ah, fair enough.

Oh, kitties.

I'm not talking super stressful sweat lodge yoga here, just some sun salutations and spinal flexibility - you know, half an hour here, 45 minutes there.

Hootie-hoo! I got my final written today, my portfolio put together for my stats class, and I'm completely done with my first 600-level math class. Now it's time to study for probability and grade ALL THE PAPERS! .....and drink....and shop for new hiking boots....and plan for my trip to Montana

Do you have a fry-daddy? They're totally easy to make!

I had the same thing happen a few years back. Planned Parenthood switched me from Ortho-Tri-Cyclen to Ortho-Micronor, a no-extra-estrogen birth control. I did, however, change my diet by cutting back drastically on the salt, which I must admit to overusing. I don't miss it at all, and I seldom salt my meals these day

My junior high was like this and still has the kids doing this. Seventh grade was French, home ec. for everyone, art, and drafting. Eighth grade was art, vocational agriculture, shop/home ec. (you could sign up for one or the other - I wish I had taken shop), and typing. My school still has what's now called a life

Voting by mail is one of my favorite civic things about living in Oregon. Even if I forget to mail it before the cutoff date, there are tons of drop boxes all over town.

I am very late to the party, but I've been grading papers and doing laundry since 2:00 this afternoon. I graded ALL THE PAPERS!

So no Shawn or Chellsie? Who does that leave on our team?

Yes! I still have one week of classes, but I still feel bad. I'm wasting the rest of my evening by watching Twin Peaks.

Yup. It's beer and risotto. Those assignments will grade themselves tomorrow.

I'm in Portland, but I make pit stops in CdA/Kellogg multiple times a year on my way to/from Montana/Iowa/Minnesota. I'll be passing through in few weeks - coffee date at the resort?
