I wasn’t before but I’m firmly in the: Let it wash over us camp... My family is vaccinated and I’m finding it harder and harder to give a damn about dumbasses.

I’ve had considerable seat time in both the (1oth gen) Si and the (7th gen) GTI. The stick in a GTI is snicky to an extreme... That however does not define a good stick shift. The Si has a silky gearbox and is one of the best I’ve experienced for a car of that price. The GTI is fine too... but this dude is obviously

It’s good to know that people don’t simply derp-out on Nissans alone.

ehh... lol, a lot of projecting going on there. I wasn’t being sarcastic in the first post. I guess actual sarcasm looks like stress to you? /shrug

Yeah, you’re right, it’s definitely Honda’s fault the tsi is deplorably slow. Your point is exemplary!... and my point of you giving up an LSD and adjustable dampers while likely paying more for a pseudo hatch is hot garbo!

The Si is .5 faster than the 5-door. Your “feels” are off.

In a world where people consider a Sonata N-Line without LSD for 25K... maybe not enough people are thinking about a Civic Si.

I particularly love that dot matrix printer and jackhammer were two of the sound effects they used for sound effects.

If I did want an Infiniti it’d be the Q60 400 RS. However I don’t. At least not this version. Speaking of red herrings. You aren’t paying sticker for any of those Q50s or Q60s. They are due for a redesign as early as next year. Maybe I’ll get a 2023 model, who knows. I was using msrp to be fair. Truth is, the Q50

That’s an “as tested” $53k Giulia... Your goalposts are on skates. That’s firmly in the Q50 400 RS ballpark. NOW we’re talking about the 400. Happy?

If by dead even you mean one is .8 slower to 60* while costing 10 grand more? Do you realize what .8 seconds looks like in a 0-60? I “trust” Car and Driver testing the Q50 at 4.9. Your “feels faster” losing by .8? In your words, “embarrassing”.

Fast car feel slow? It’s certInly fast, those numbers are hard to lie about. The fact it’s old and still beats almost all of its peers, in fact every example you gave, makes these takes quaint.

If speed and handling are anywhere near the top of your priority list, Avalon isn’t in the same zipcode as the Q50.

Funny how things evolve. Id love an OG G35 interior with stylized buttons and an amber hue all around. /shrug

maybe this readership isn’t dead...

old ladies do like 0-60 sprints in 5 flat.

^^exactly this

For being as old as it is, it’s laughably great for its price. It’s due for a redesign as early as next year and it performs surprisingly well against its peers, many that are brand new models... which says more about infiniti than it does about the competition.

The Q50 looks good... put the crack pipe down.

I can smell the black & milds from here...
