With all the interjections of other 1 shot comics that arc did get confusing.  I reread the whole storyline the other day and it works much better compressed into 10-20 minutes and made sense.

It depends on the show.  If long arcs, mysteries, and unresolved sexual tensions are stretched beyond a certain point they become annoying and the lack of resolution or advancement can retroactively take away from earlier episodes.  For shows that contain their stories within one episode or one season, it isn't as big…
