I liked last night’s pilot episode. It felt like a fanfic mash-up of ST:TNG and ST:DS9. Even down to the score and sound effects. I didn’t realize how much I wanted something like that until last night.

A Song of Fire and Ice is not first person. It’s third person limited.
There are a couple of reasons for this. Being a show, Game of Thrones naturally doesn’t follow the book’s first-person format.
I had forgotten just how paranoid she was. I’m rereading Feast now and it’s almost to the point of making me uncomfortable.
