I feel like this one is two-fold. When Fred came along, she just felt annoying and mousy. But, aside from the awkward love triangle, she grew on me. Then she died. Then we got to see the end of the Glory, Jasmine Illyria goddess trifecta. (It also showed me that Amy Acker really had some acting chops.)
I can’t enjoy TWD because The Leftovers is so good this year. Where I feel TWD is using the “same day, different perspective” plotting as a stalling techniques, I see The Leftovers doing it to expand on the plot and show different perspectives.
