So far we've had no electrical problems using that little bit adapter thing so far. My main annoyance is that it pops out too easily and combined with the wider 220V plug makes it a chore to connect other plugs around it.

I agree, but my wife really wants a MacBook (Air or Pro) or a higher-end Samsung as her next laptop and wants to hold out on getting anything until we can get it. The adapter and battery I'm seeing on Amazon is about $50 (if it works out great, if it doesn't we just have to move up our purchase). As far as keyboard

Thank you for this, exactly what I needed! (And to everyone else's suggestions too)

My wife has an old laptop (Toshiba Satellite A100 PSAANK-03w003) that she's had since she's lived in Korea. Currently we can't afford to buy a new one (okay, we can but she won't let me buy her one because hers "still works" and she prefers the Korean keyboard). The battery no longer holds a charge and the adapter is

My wife's iPhone was stolen last month. My aunt's was stolen the month prior. Both snatch-and-runs while they were talking on the phone. "Hold on tight" is right.

I had no idea Dachshunds would be good for that sort of thing. Fostering sounds like a great idea since I was worried about the long-term costs of keeping a pet. On the other hand, in the short term, our son is only one and he loves dogs but I'm just worried about a lack of compatibility between dog and kid. He's

I strongly considered it, and my wife loves cats but we're just not ready for a pet. Both from a financial perspective and our son at just one-year-old is a handful as it is ^^

You know, I remember it being announced but totally forgot about it since. Thanks for the reminder!

YES! Haroun and the Sea of Stories is my favorite Rushdie book and always thought it would make a great animated movie.

I'm scared to death of mice. Seeing a mouse in a picture gives me goosebumps. Same for finding droppings. So, my apartment seems to have a mouse problem (and the house next door it would seem as it/they live between the two houses). I want to get rid of them because it's unsanitary to have them around. But I am too

Hey I may be confusing you with someone else, but I read somewhere that when you quit your day job and chose to pursue music you were also a recent dad. I recently lost my job and care for my 1 year old while my wife is at work/school. How the hell do you make time for anything?

Yes! That's exactly what it was! I've had a hard time putting my finger on what made the movie so "meh"

Agreed. Maybe I was too hyped to see Iron Man 2 (because of War Machine) but the first was much better in my opinion.

It's 'cause they don't eat Cornetto in it. (And I guess it wasn't really a genre parody film)

Yeah I was thinking "cheap". Monoprice is generally reliable and there's is under $10. Do you hit any sort of bottlenecks because it's USB?

Should have mentioned that I did. ^^ Thanks though!

My wife's Windows laptop has an 802.11 b/g wireless card. It doesn't connect well to our AirPort network, but our G4 Cube (802.11 b?), mysteriously does much better. Would an 802.11n USB dongle help any?

+1

I had a Hulk Hogan lunchbox and thermos in kindergarten. Thanks for ruining memories of my childhood guys.

Maybe I missed the point but I simultaneously agree and disagree. I loved architecture going into uni but "was" an engineer in terms of my skills (did well in engineering courses in HS, great math scores) and decided to pursue engineering in college. While I remained pretty good at it at first, I never really liked
