There are many, many problems with this show, but it's original sin is making the show so laser focused on Burnham.

You aren’t wrong, but I will say this, as someone who has played the majority of the Tomb Raider games going back to the original one: there really isn’t much there worth adapting in a faithful manner. It’s not a rich text. The original games were a mash-up of Indiana Jones and James Bond; the character of Lara was

I can't stand her either but her hair? I can't stand her because she's a horrible officer and shouldn't even be put in charge of a planning committee let alone run a starship, but I fail to see how her hair comes into this lol.

But almost four years and three very short seasons in, Bridgerton seems to have lost its shine. It makes you wonder, was Bridgerton ever actually good?

“Brutal to have to read an article referring to one person as ‘they’ multiple times.”

Brutal to have to read an article referring to one person as “they” multiple times.

I’m sorry you can’t parse proper English because the anti-woke crowd broke your mind to how pronouns work.

Yeah that must be so brutal for you. You gonna be okay?

“He knows what he fucking did!”

For sure. That little shit got to work significantly better hours and people treated him preferentially in other situations; for example he had an on set tutor and a female companion that he disgustingly called “mother”.

These are serious allegations and yet my first thought was “why the fuck did someone decide to make a series out of that lovely film?” Also, I grew quickly tired of Waititi’s schtick after Ragnarok, so it’s unlikely I’ll watch this even if it shows up on Tubi one day.

They’re gonna add that to New Zealand’s banned baby names list, surely.

Excellent news. I really enjoyed the first season. Any time you can have Conan on your TV, its a good thing

Now playing

I kinda liked A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (1966). It’s actually kind of neat how the musical is not only set in Ancient Rome, but has a plot taken from stitching together several comedies by the Roman playwright Plautus. And the songs by Sondheim are pretty good too.

Let me save everyone a google:

especially one coming from real state he alone might be one big chunk of the issue

Never trust a billionaire that is “selling you” their idea of “humanity” when it’s clear they lack any themselves - otherwise they wouldn’t be a billionaire.

Kelly also had an incredible ass, truly.

Regardless of him writing some book about bringing back humanity to the internet, I’m still highly suspicious of any billionaire who claims they want to make something better. It has been a long time since that animal has been seen in its natural habitat.

Hey, we got Rebel Moon *instead* of a Zack Snyder Star Wars movie. That’s a good thing.
