Well, hey, it’s better than videogame companies like Microsoft and EA where they buy up creative talent (smaller studios) and then either close them down and fire everyone or best case scenario assign it to hacky bullshit that they never would have done when they were independent.

I think that all the time with criminal cases! “You could’ve walked away unscathed, but nooo. You got greedy.

I also didn’t realize his bribes were from a guy trying to corner the New York Halal meat industry.  Just the chef’s kiss on the whole thing.

I still have that “final” VHS set before Lucas stared fucking with everything.  There’s a teaser at the front about seeing the movies in their original form “one last time.” Which seemed like marketing hyperbole at the time, as opposed to a legitimate threat.

I'm gonna got get the papers

“I says to Taylor, I says, ‘You gotta’ have the scripts.’ You’ve got to have the scripts.”

Now playing

I think the way the CGI effects have aged also has a lot to do with poor mastering decisions that for some reasons plagues this series in particular. For example, when the OT was released on (I believe) DVD, a warm tint was introduced that turned a lot of people off because the lightsaber colors didn’t look right

Whether you are at a dumb ceremony has absolutely zero to do with whether or not you get your degree. Most of the time you don’t even get your actual degree (which, in reality, is still just a piece of paper, the actual proof that you got a degree is with the registrar) during overblown graduation ceremonies, it gets

Right because otherwise all graduation events are 100% legally binding and if you miss them you have to do college again.

All protest is, in some sense, a performance. What a weird and unnecessary observation.

Loved the podrace as a kid and frankly, I think it still slaps today. It bewilders me that we only got one video game sequel to Episode I Racer.

Hell always be that clown-lookin’ demon from “Spawn” to me.

$20M would be eight figures, not seven. That doesn't change your point or his.

Stay tuned for next years’ 1980s-set prequel series, Young Darlene

Roseanne will be played by Bob Newhart.

Honestly I’d probably rather get force choked than deal with a room of those ghoulish CEOs.

Don’t look at it til everyone’s out of the room to be safe...

The biggest problem with cable was always that you had to get an entire expensive package to get it at all. You’re paying a lot of money for a bunch of stuff you never use. And you couldn’t just cancel and resubscribe when you wanted.

It’s just regular old PEMDAS: Paramount+, Exponents, Max, Disney+, Apple TV+, and Subtraction

I’m sure this will probably end up still being a better deal than cable... up until the companies get a little greedy and decide to make it the same deal or worse.
