That’s a lot of it. But its a fucking AR/VR headset, which only a very small fraction of people actually want to use.  It will always be a niche product, and it will always have small sales numbers. Meta Quest 3 costs $500 and they can only move 500k/year of those things.

It’s too expensive. Period. Nothing else matters. Until it is cheaper, it is irrelevant.

I like Warburton, but he’s a lot like H. Jon Benjamin in that he really doesn’t do voices. Brock from The Venture Bros, Steve Barkin from Kim Possible, his version of the The Tick from the earlier live action version of The Tick are essentially the same voice.

What I’m getting from this is that Disney should’ve gotten Warburton for Thunderbolt Ross instead of Harrison Ford.

As much as I’d love to see a robust high-speed rail network webbed across the US, I don’t see how we’ll get it done. Indeed. Specifically the part with wearing $3,500 worth of bleeding edge kit that lowers your personal awareness while in an NYC subway.

You really need a reason to drop $3500 on a niche product with very few use cases right now. I don’t think Apple (or any headset maker) has presented very many compelling reasons.

I don’t think there’s any separating that marketing campaign from the experience of seeing the movie. Even if you knew it was bullshit, the anticipation it build up added to it massively.  Long way of saying I don’t think catching it again today would have anywhere near the same impact.
