There was a movie called “This Film is Not Yet Rated” about the secrecy and unaccountability of the MPA(A). One of the throughlines is that the MPAA just got increasingly drunk on PTA-energy and started slapping harsher ratings on foreign movies and nudity and gay kissing etc that made it harder to market films but…
