There are two bits of two-lane passing zone fuckery that irritate me, both related to the fact that (at least in North Carolina) it’s illegal to pass more than one vehicle in a passing zone on a two-lane road.

It really gets me when it’s silver/gray/tan cars during rainy, foggy, snowy weather. People don’t realize that daytime running lights aren’t enough and that headlights aren’t just for the driver’s visibility.
They got confused and thought the Rock was the one who did the “Kerwin White” gimmick.
The problem, though, is that even with federation the raison d’être of Instathreads isn’t going to change - it will always be brand- and influencer-centric and that’s its biggest problem now. Put another way:
Yeah, it’s strange. The devs are engaged and actively working on stuff, but they really seem content to just kind of keep puttering along and they’ll open up whenever.
More mid-range stuff would definitely be nice. I would love to see a collab between a game company and, say, Psycho Bunny.
I have excised the specifics from my memory. 😂
“And the main character is Spock’s sister!”
“Isn’t she supposed to be human?”
“Uh... adopted sister! That we’ve never heard of!”
“Shatner already did the unmentioned sibling thing.”
“Shut up. Now, please read through these scenes where people tell each other how amazing the main character is, and then you can read these…
Threads absolutely sucks, so my hope is that Bluesky gets to the point that it’s ready to open to the public and does so soon. It seems to be the only platform that has even a vague chance of becoming what Twitter used to be, and that chance gets vaguer by the day since it’s still closed off to the public.
I don’t know that they had to introduce Uhura at some point. She wasn’t in the second pilot, though she was in the cast from the beginning after it was picked up as a series. If they had to introduce her at some point then you could say the same about Sulu, who was in the second pilot. Scotty was, too, but we’ve seen…
Oh god, don’t remind me. I saw him live in 1990 or 1991 and he berated us for not being loud enough early in the show and yelled “IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE” and whipped his dick out.
I think Strange New Worlds is great and certainly the best of the current crop of Trek shows.
The overwhelming majority of game-related stuff is pretty cheap and not made to last or wear well; I’ve seen first-party shirts that look like they came straight from RedBubble.
“Why are the [Star Wars] characters so hallowed that from 1977 you can’t re-do it for a new audience?” the director asked, referencing other franchises like James Bond, Batman or Spider-Man that just recast characters over and over.
The way they handled those early access codes (the ones that went out via Keymailer, not the ones people who preordered received) was genius. They approved requests from anybody who had a YouTube or Twitch channel with even the faintest pulse, and naturally those lower-tier folks are going to tend toward glowing…
I goddamn hated Romeo+Juliet.
The only thing I knew about that movie was that Anson Mount was in it, and I only learned that recently.
Ghostbusters has spawned two very good (IMO) and very different games - one just called “Ghostbusters” that came out in 1984 and the more recent “Ghostbusters: The Video Game,” which came out in 2009 and was remastered ten years later for then-current consoles.
