if Drew can call the shots, she can simply agree to the WGA proposals and get her writers back.

One of many sources saying it’s not:

Core will be priced the same as Gold, at $10 a month, and current customers will be automagically converted over. It’s a confusing price-point, given the fuller version of Game Pass is just a dollar more, and includes all the same games plus literally hundreds more.

It’s especially galling when online play is included with PC GamePass but not the console version.

One of the first things I do when I get a new iPhone is flip the switch to silent and leave it there. I presume this will be handled in software now (including maybe via the new button) and won’t just magically switch back?

The only iPhone screen that’s been broken in my family was a few years ago when my wife dropped hers pretty much flat face-down in a parking lot. It cracked even though it had an OtterBox case (it was either a Commuter or Symmetry, not a Defender). Other than that, though, we’ve also been fortunate.

Exactly. I prefer iPhones to Android phones and something that does not in any way impact my use of the device isn’t going to change that.

Excuse me, I put a $50 POS case on mine. :D

The good news is that I still haven’t had to have back surgery and haven’t injured it further or had any serious knock-on effects, though it does bother me now and again. And my math was wrong thanks to time compression; it was almost thirty years ago, in 1995. I’m so old. 😂

The key difference is that what WGA and SAG-AFTRA want isn’t numbers selected and spun however the studio wants for PR purposes, they want numbers that can be used in a consistently measurable way, both in terms of how those numbers are derived (there is a lot of nuance in there) and how things are defined.

Our Target is definitely better than our Walmart, but it’s nowhere near as quick as Costco or Sam’s.

I had a 2017 Pilot and just got a 2023. I do like having blind spot monitoring, but I definitely miss LaneWatch. My only beef with it on the 2017 was that it was just on the passenger side.

To be clear, these certification and compliance checks aren’t looking at how well a game performs or if it has buggy cutscenes or audio. It’s just meant to make sure the game follows the platform’s rules, doesn’t brick your machine, and works with each vendor’s various built-in features, like friend lists and trophies.

I have my own anecdote, too. I blew my back out about twenty years ago. An actual doctor sent me to a chiropractor while I was waiting for an MRI to see what was going on. As I walked back down to the chiropractor’s office from the last part of the treatment, my legs started to get heavy. By the time I got there, I

Depending on where you go, it can take an inordinate amount of time; like I said above, when I go to Costco it’s a couple of minutes max, and Sam’s is the same way. But the lines at, say, the Target or Walmart pharmacies can be stupidly long and... inefficient, let’s say.

Find someone who loves you as much as Chris Frantz hates David Byrne.

I always figured it was just one of those situations where not every drug works for everybody, but thinking back, I’m pretty sure it’s the only OTC drug I’ve tried that did absolutely nothing for me.

if your hook is “the crew of the Enterprise meets God”, well obviously it’s not really going to be God so there has to be some cop out somewhere.

I don’t recall the circumstances last time, but WGA is not granting any waivers/interim agreements with any shows/projects/producers this time around, unlike SAG-AFTRA.

That niche is expected to be filled by a TV adaptation of the original books, which he said will run for “10 consecutive years.”
