I was about to say “You’re telling me I have to pay $90 to get 600 Pokemon, when I could pay $35 for all of them last gen?”

Raw Danger is a work of art.
It’s the video game equivalent of a “So bad it’s good” movie, and actually does some fairly neat things to it’s own credit.

I was trying to figure out how to describe the feel/tone of the game, but I think you pretty much nailed it. That’s exactly what it feels like.

A rule growing up in our household was dolls/action figures always had to be different than ones you already had. Have a blond haired, blue eyed Barbie already? Well you can get one of her other friends next instead.

It also gave a hard rule our parents could fall back on as a “No” for why they couldn’t/wouldn’t buy a

I love how flashy and fun the battle system is, and the way things chain out. It’s really enjoyable. I also really love how colorful the game is. I don’t know much Persona or FE, but I ended up really loving this game.

I’ve played almost no FE or Persona, and I really enjoyed this one. You notice some of the crossovers just from what you know of the series through pop culture, but it mostly stands on it’s own, and I didn’t feel anything was lost by not being intimately familiar with where everything originated. It’s a really fun,

I look at it this way. The term video games is and will continue to be the phrase used for “digital interactive entertainment media” because video games makes up the vast majority of digital interactive entertainment media, and because saying “digital interactive entertainment media” to describe anything else is just

I never knew this, but that’s hilarious that it’s a different button than left and right on the d-pad. Why not have both?

You can sort games on switch by name, publisher, recently played, and total playtime. Also it’s got something I wish the PS4 had, which is hitting left when you’re at the end sends you all the way to the right.

No need to be reductive or dismissive, that wasn’t the point I was trying to make with my statement, perhaps I phrased it poorly. I’m all for having a discussion about our differing opinions, but these types of conversations are never framed as a discussion.

They always end up as arguments about “spoilers are good” or

Yeah, I agree completely.

In my line of work, I end up having media spoiled for me all the time, it’s a necessity. But that doesn’t mean I inflict that on anyone else, I also respect and understand people’s reasons for going into something spoiler free. Hell I still prefer to go in spoiler free myself. The easier

Media is best enjoyed as you see fit, so discussions on the pros and cons of spoilers are pointless.

It sounds like purchases will carry over too, so I’m glad I didn’t double dip on theme packs or things like that too much.

I haven’t beaten it yet, but I backed it for a pretty big chunk of change as well. Playing it, it feels like a remaster of a Shenmue 3 that was released back in 2002 or something. That’s not going to be for everyone, but I really dig it, and it’s got the wholesome charm that I loved about the first two.

Yeah, I can get why people wouldn’t like the game, but for me it hits a weirdly satisfying gameplay loop, and is pretty much the only thing I want to play at all right now.

I don’t work at that company, but I work in the industry with a specialty in 3d graphics programming. I don’t need to be psychic to spot the problems I’m literally paid to deal with.
You also don’t need to be psychic to see their history of actions. Generating variables from a random seed for a data structure is

They are kind of lazy, case in point:
- The transition from Gen 2 to Gen 3, they didn’t allow Pokemon transfers because “The data structures were incompatible”. Since then (with the 3DS releases of Gen 1 & 2) they’ve allowed this, because they simply needed to generate the new variables not included in the original

This is kind of what annoys me about this whole thing. The whole Dexit rage is overblown for sure, but also, there’s a lot to be disappointed with in GameFreak.

They’ve been lazy developers for the longest time, and you’re spot on with them borking their future-proofing. Some of their decisions are so obviously aimed

As someone who didn’t enjoy/finish the last two (I guess 3 if you count Ultra Sun & Moon) released Pokemon titles, taking away all my favorites and increasing the price alone are two things that are enough to make me pass on the game. Let alone the actual gripes people are having.

It’s fine to like em, and have fun,

But that’s not really how VR has worked so far at all. Pretty much every VR game is made to work with every headset, it’s the different VR storefronts that are needlessly fracturing/restricting the market based off of hardware, and even then, it just means it’s a pain in the ass to work around.
Unless they are
