I find these immaculate survivor examples of every day cars to be 10x more interesting than the usual Porsche, BMW or Corvette of this vintage that drives around like new. Those are common. Because no one thinks to cocoon a Concorde, Tempo or Cressida, so we almost never see them anymore looking this mint. I’m all for

I fucking hate modern media sometimes.

These Marvel shows seem to be going for a ‘crazy, boundary pushing one’ followed by ‘straight actioner’ one. Happy with that approach and love a good Christmas setting - definitely seems to be aiming for that Die Hard/Shane Black vibe.

After Sense8, I’m much more willing to give the Wachowskis a chance again. I’m just confused about why we’re supposed to be scared about being stuck in a simulation of 1999. Cypher was right, frost my tips and plug me in!

he certainly is a black guy with similar sunglasses, and obviously they want you to make that connection, but i don’t think anything is ‘clear’ here.

This is a fantastic trailer in that I still have no idea what the fuck this movie is about but I’m into it.

trailer does its job, that’s for sure

I never watched The Wire, but I loved him on Community.

I’m pretty positive Ted’s aversion to therapy has less to do with marriage counseling and more to do with the lack of counseling he received after whatever happened to his dad. All signs point to not an accident or body illness.

I think Ted’s optimism is genuine, but optimistic people also experience heartbreak and trauma. We’ve already seen that Ted’s way of dealing with challenges (like being separated from his wife and son) is to keep smiling and power through until things reach a crisis point. He is perhaps trying to be strong for the

Ted is a live-action Ned Flanders, so it makes sense that he would have a fear of therapists. Hopefully Dr Fieldstone won’t have to spank him.

I already said this in the “Carol of the Bells” feature, but I’ll say it again: I like my nice TV friends being nice to each other. And hey, if Ted Lasso isn’t your thing, then far be it for me to tell you how to feel about it. Personally, I don’t need sustained conflict; I already have that every single goddamn day

If Covid can’t defeat him, I will.*

The best joke in the MCU is the part in The Avengers when Cap shows up and starts barking orders at the cops, and the surly lead cop says, “Why the hell should I take orders from you?!” Then a group of Chitauri attacks, and Cap takes them all out in seconds, and the lead cop, without missing a beat, gets on the radio

Sorry but the best joke in the MCU is the Thor/Surtur conversation where the chains keep rotating Thor out of eye contact.

I see what you did there.

The secret weapon of this show isn’t its heart, it’s the facial acting on display by almost all of the main players, but especially Waddingham (I don’t think I’ve ever seen an actor who makes every muscle in her face put in work), Hunt’s Hush Puppy eyes, and of course Goldstein’s “the imperceptible facial twitch I

Is there a nice way to let someone know you do not want to continue to have sex because of their penis size?

I’m assuming they also did one for Capitalism yes? Or are they still working their way through 17thC European slavery? Perhaps a 10 volume set?

Where to start?
