Because our cultural and societal baseline now is crassness.

Excellent! ‘Give’ him a symbolic but meaningless ‘concession’ and let me think he won.

No formal institutionalized political parties. Many, many local governments run non-partisan elections and it works well. Can easily be scaled to the statewide and federal level.

Don’t forget the also-ran Tudor Dixon.  So far...nothing accomplished but losing.

Alternatively...ban all political parties.

See the OH GOP disastrous 2011 efforts to limit public employees’ collective bargaining rights. Guess which public employees lean right but also love their unions?

Generally...yep. That’s why I moved back to Chicagoland...as it’s 75% of the State’s population and generally left-leaning/moderate Repub.

Agreed. I got my full of rural wilderness and travel trailer experience as a kid growing up in rural northern MI and living with parents that had used trailers (pop-up, then a 28' Airstream, lastly a 32' Airstream) for about 15 years straight. Nope. way too much hassle.

For sure. As a 20+ yr veteran local government city planner...for sure.

Yep...all the stars.
