Sounds like a great move really, Ensemble churned out AOE clones almost faster than Westwood milked Dune 2 and CnC into clones every other year. They made mediocre single-player at best games, while games like Homeworld innovated and Rise of Nations did the "tech through ages" gimmick that much better.

ensemble's had a free ride making crapfest RTS games that don't even stand up to Westwood's par (not so much a complement) while studios like Relic and Big Huge Games actually progress the genre.

I think that the Niko and Indiana Jones are the best yet, they contain the least shill factor or "PLEASE PICK ME" bullshit.

does not appear to be on live now, but I agree, this demo pretty much negates any reason to buy the game (unless it's found for 10$ next month, but even then it's a meh buy, I got blue dragon for 15$ this last week, I consider that a better deal.

funny, eboku is right, my failure was that I hadn't formatted the [vsh.txt] file correctly, I figure you have to add another return to the file.

not very straight forward to get this working, the instructions are in japanese so good luck with that, and most instructions seem to deal with RemoteJoy which is a different program than RemoteJoyLite and thus probably has different install requirements. I'm surprised Kotaku posts this, I mean, it's hax for starters

pedal looks the same to me except it has a fancy metal face that does 0 to prevent breaking...but feel free to call me out with facts to prove otherwise...

Consoles give you less problems, that's true (well, except when they try to do "PC" things and then it gets broken faster than yous can says broken, eg playing videos that aren't on DVD)

Relic is most certainly on the right track to take the reigns from Blizzard. DOW was a pretty awesome game (if you didn't play it too competitively, it was ass then) and Company of Heroes is completely awesome. I don't get why some infantry seem to be like Neo and others die in 1 shot, but hell, I don't understand

no doubt Blizzard makes good games, but even Blizzard #@cks up from time to time. Starcraft had unforgivable issues and is only now a mature game. How did that come about? From years of actual players playing and giving feedback.

I think Ninja Gaiden and Castlevania should be lower or not on the list, they're tough but passable, in particular Castlevania is more about patience than anything else. I remember having much more trouble beating double dragon 1. Adventure of Link as well, that game sucked ass but I beat it pretty easily as I can

The latest colors they've put out suck ass, ROSE and SILVER? Seriously Nintendo, not THAT many girls are buying DS units. Could we get some possibly male colors please? Thanks.

Hey my 360 hasn't red ringed since I bought it last year about the time the Falcon's were being released. So far zero problems, one of my ps2 DRE'd 4 months into owning it. Worthless product.

The one thing about Soul Caliber 2 that I'll admit is that Raphael is just cheesy as hell in that game. My brother won't play me in SC3 because he just wants to do the Raphael charge every game of SC2. I lose every other game against it, it's just lame. So hoping that SC4 is less like 2 and more like 3 would be a

I waited last time with Soulcaliber 3 and bought it later as a used game because I had SC2 and frankly it wasn't much of an upgrade. This time that is really a bit different because it's finally next gen for starters, and playing SC2/3 on my rapidly dying 3rd PS2 system is becoming more and more annoying.

@Deuce

I liked it when it had little gifs of Terra "guiding" you through the website. That has to be preserved in some form on the web somewhere...

btw, FF "Jump the shark" at FF7 couldn't be more inaccurate, the game didn't "take off" until 7. Maybe that's why we have FF7:The Complete Core Edition + Sephiroth ONEWINGEDANGEL Master Complete Edition/Jenova ya think? FF7 may have much unwarranted fan appeal because most of it's fans never played FF4. Without 7

I liked the character models, I really think Square nailed character animation in FF6, where FF4/5 were still in an evolutionary phase that didn't quite do justice to the characters. In the remake they look much closer to the Amano designs ( [www.ffshrine.org] ) which is probably the least bastardizing way of

yeah because I need FF4 to look like FF8...right. RPGamer can go sit on a stick, it's not nearly the site Vestal started. I stopped visiting it about the time FF8 came out funny enough, probably some prepubescent fags running it now.
