It’s funny that everyone is just like, ambivalent about the fact that he made up a character named Cable. I laugh every time I remember that there’s a character named Cable.

That first one was foul, never watched the second one. I'm not sure why one would, to be honest.
Producer means all kinds of things. Its kind of amazing how people think that a job title in movies is the same as job titles in government, like it defines some kind of jurisdiction or something.
I know this is annoying and petty, and I love Dario, but the lighting style is Bava’s. Dario openly admits that it’s a lift, and while he’s responsible for the most recognisable multi-hued lighting, he really only uses it wall-to-wall in two movies, and it’s really not that common or that extreme in other gialli. If…
There’s actually quite an important conversation about on-set safety happening in the industry right now. Studios are keen to quell the potential for walkouts, and unions are keen to ensure the safety of their members. So it goes. But when I said “systemic” i never said “just guns” (and in facts its foolish and…
Okay, the guy is undoubtedly an incompetent, unpleasant asshole, but let's not lose sight of the fact that anyone attempting to frame this as a bad apples issue rather than a systemic one probably has a very specific motive for doing so.
I don’t think that is as clever as you do :)
Oh cool, we’re still on “gay sex as the one and only aspect of same sex relationships”.
Right, so they’re going to spend heaps of money on a film and then just release it uncensored in countries that won’t play it uncensored, and hope for the best, are they? This is just the same thing they always do: “I promise we’re pro-LGBTQ+ in our big corporate heart!”
I didn’t say they “will” sue her, I said that they “should” sue her, instead of issuing the dismissive statement they did, were they truly confident that her claims are baseless. Maybe in print I might have been better off saying “they should have sued her instead of doing this if they are certain there’s no truth to…
Well, not really. I’m trying to understand what you mean: are you saying that she should have sued them instead of going public? That would be a false equivalency, but I want to be certain that that's the argument you're making before getting into that.
Jesus Christ, you wanna be damn sure you have receipts if you're going to respond to someone's allegations with a statement like that. I'm not a fan of where there's smoke there's fire, but if they're adamant that the allegations are unfounded, they should just quietly sue her for libel, because that's some heavy…

So I’ve done a bit of contract management in my time, and even some in the entertainment industry, but comedy specials is an area where I have absolutely no sense of the protocols, so here’s some questions:
The first one really is a good film, isn’t it. That Huston/Julia romance is so... palpable.
This is in poor taste but one of the funniest reviews for the Zack Snyder Justice League reboot things was on Letterboxd which just said something like “I was surprised that they inserted a scene of Wonder Woman throwing a bus load of Palestinian children off a bridge”.
They should use the Damned song “History Of The World Part 2" as the theme tune - co-written with Hans Zimmer of all people!
I always just thought she was a dutiful churchgoer, keeping the building tidy to no particular end beyond a personal sense of purpose.
Just to clarify, I’m talking specifically about dragging back Michael Keaton, not parallel universes as a concept (and yes, I recognise that Spider-Man is doing it too and if this were a Spider-Man post I’d be saying it about him too).
I remember the bus-ride home from the Blair Witch, me and my friend, just these stunned little 12 year olds. We knew the premise was fake but the approach (I know, I know, it’s a ripoff of other movies) to filmmaking as this total assault on your sense of safety was new to us, and it battered us to hell. We felt…
