My heart jumps when an unknown caller rings me. And I get positively giddy when it’s a warranty call. I get them on the hook, keep working the machine til I get a real person, then ask if I can get a warranty written up for a 1981 VW Rabbit. Then they hang up. And I call them back, if it’s not from a spoofed number.…

I get robocalls about warranties almost daily, and I let my own robot deal with it.

I like all 10 good episodes of Mad Men.  Those ten are very good.  Like with Sopranos the bad episodes are among the worst ever committed to film-to-TV.

I’m way late to this, but I would in general agree, EXCEPT in the case of bringing other people into the bedroom. That can lead to feelings of jealousy/insecurity that most other kinks generally don’t, and in the LW case, it is specifically stated that it is definitely leading to those feelings, for both of them.

They really don’t. Especially if they want to sell a car to me. I find the Lexus look to be utterly hideous, and I would never even contemplate buying one because of it.

ah, i had stupidly forgotten the Golf R. You make an excellent point. That is indeed a very nice place to be. Im sure my perceptions are colored by the fact that i drive a 2008 Outback and a 2015 Xterra. Neither is exactly noted for their luxurious interiors. :)

The amount of plot armor necessary to keep the Boys, and even Starlight, alive is becoming cumbersome. They need to give the “good” guys some more leverage, because as it stands, the only real reason they’re still around is that the villains are dumb, apathetic, or not wholly evil, all of which are bad ideas.

I think sometimes (maybe this year especially) it’s possible to look back and say, “I was paying too much on the lease,” but predicting that result beforehand might have been impossible.
