I don’t know what it’s like to drive one of these cars or how much other examples have gone for, but it seems from the description like $9500 is a down payment for a lot of woe (and repair bills). I generally like styling on Lancias, but in this color scheme and with the black wheels it looks rather dull and sad.

This post certainly has an unusual number of comments. For some reason, Subaru is a polarizing brand, and this salute to Subaru seems designed to invite clicks and comments from the many people who for various reasons dislike the brand.

That’s my idea of a great vacation: a couple of weeks in a floating building with thousands of other people.

Forgive me if this is a stereotype, but based on my limited experience with Japanese in business, I thought they chose their words carefully so as to be diplomatic and not give offense. To say Honda is ending development of an “affordable” EV is easily inferred to mean the company isn’t interested in a certain segment

You’re a better laundryman than me, Gunga Din

After 10 years, those aren’t features, they’re bugs.

Better fix that headline

Behold the ‘61 Plymouth Fury. When I was a small boy, these and their Dodge cousins scared hell out of me.

So I could bring a bowling ball on the plane, roll it down the aisle, and see how many stewardesses flight attendants I can knock over?

Even the VW Beetle got into the game. The Formula Vee had more show, but no more go. Not to be confused with the racing series.

The Atlantic article is paywalled, but there was enough shown for me to get the gist of it.

This list could go on and on and on. Time was that any car, especially domestics, had some sort of performance (or, often more accurately, pseudo-performance) version. Sometimes, that SSXRLGT model differed from standard car only in that it had a racing stripe or decal that said “SSXRLGT”

I’ve no objection to cities or other municipalities forbidding right turns altogether, as NYC and other cities have done. A blanket ban irrespective of the municipality or intersection imposes unnecessary costs in time and exhaust emissions.

I suppose the buyer could saw holes in the floor so he could drive in reverse Fred Flintstone-style.
