On the expressway, a car in the shoulder isn’t detected but on a two lane highway it will pick up a cyclist on the edge of my lane. The display between the speedometer and tach will begin informing me long before the car takes any action itself so I can drift away from anything it considered an obstacle. Once you

And possibly tan interior? Best looking LaF yet!

Sounds like you're in paradise but here in the states it doesn't work that way. I can adjust mine as well and while it does make a difference it tends to think it can still outsmart you.

Thats the exact problem. Every time someone slips in front my car backs off the throttle, spreading the gap. I understand that its not intended (now would I want it to) tailgate but the gap is large enough that you and myself included would feel comfortable slipping in. In Chicago traffic you tend to find yourself

I’ve learned how to make it work to my advantage and honestly couldn't imagine a car without it. Its great merging onto the interstate, setting it, and getting off two hours later without having to move your feet, as long as you're patient.

Lets hear it for boners!

Mine will put you through the windshield if theres a cyclist on the shoulder. You learn to predict how it will react and plan your next move before it detects whatever is ahead of you. Unless of course you aren't paying attention, then its a lifesaver.

It really is a pain with adaptive cruise control. Mine tends to pace just far enough behind for someone to slip in and when they do, I pace just far enough for someone to slip in again. I tend to gas it a bit to close the gap but as soon as I lift off it stomps the brakes opening it back up.

You're an idiot.

That link has me excited as well. Sheesh!

Grow some balls and tell her no. ;)

Poppy seeds? A fucking ton of them but maybe.

I'm on the edge of my seat. Spit it out already!

Beats running head-on into an Escalade pulling a sand rail.

Adam Carolla once did this in his E46 M3.

Please do tell. What does this share with the Jetta?
