Apparently the red R8 is history. Before that he had an ACR Viper that lurked around town. I met and talked with him once and he was really down to earth, sans eating takeout in his R8. Where do you reside on the north side?

Sorry for the attack. Further down in the approved posts someone posted a link to said car which showed photos of the undercarriage as well as it wasting the tires. Its very possible it was posted and approved after your comment. Thats what happens when I read Jalopnik without coffee on a Monday.
You don't actually read, do you?

Working with Volkswagen for a number of years now I'd have to disagree with this story. We offer the carefree maintenance program in an effort to build a relationship in the service department, not to sell the car. Most people are completely unaware that we work on cars in addition to selling them. In the store I…
Wrapped or not, its an amazing car. In my opinion, there's nothing better second to the McF1. Great shots!
I believe thats wrapped. Not bare carbon. And these were made of nomex, kevlar, and a dash of CF weave.
I've been watching this gem for a couple of weeks now out of curiosity as to what it'll bring in.

That hardly even seems plausible. Besides, most states (possibly all of them) require the purchaser and the seller to sign an odometer statement at the time of sale.
What great friends!
No worries mate!
I'm going out on a limb here, but I'd say just you.
Read from the top and try again. Half of $52k would be $26k which is still more than double the going rate of a Phaeton in the States. That being said, I was implying that it would be a blessing for any Phaeton owner to hear that their pride and joy was worth $26k.
You can pick up a 2004 W12 Phaeton for about 1/4 of the price. A $26,000 Phaeton is a Phaeton owners dream come true. Abort!
Holy smokes!
That door looks supra heavy.
