And even if it wasn’t a good movie, one would think there would be at least one other movie that they wanted to see in theaters during the past four years, based on whatever interests they have.

Perhaps I am misunderstanding the term, but how is this gatekeeping? While recent use of the term doesn’t hew towards the traditional definition of controlling who has access to what/whom, my understanding is that the popular use of the term in recent years refers to holding back information, even if one is not…
Even if they’re going to use that as a reason, having only seen one movie in theaters in the past (almost) four years, and having that movie be Dial of Destiny indicates to me that they’re not much of a moviegoer.
They’re probably not much of a general moviegoer if this is the “only” movie they have seen in theaters “in years”... 🤷🏻♂️
“This tomato, part of a study to explore the feasibility of continuous fresh-food production in space, was finally found”
Sounds like a nice version of Taco Bell’s Crunchwrap (minus the hard tortilla, so I guess it would just be a... Taco Bell Wrap?) to me. Not that that would be bad, but I think the name would need a change before it would catch on in the US, for better or for worse.

If you’re telling me that you could walk up to anyone 50 years ago and ask them if they knew who Thor, Hulk, Iron Man, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Captain America were, and that basically anyone would know, I’d be willing to bet money that you would have been wrong. There is no way those characters had the mass market…

I’ve seen the Grand Highlander, and that has an actually usable third row. The regular Highlander’s third row is a joke.

Which movie are you referring to?
“When it was one movie a year or every other year? People were all about that. When you have to watch two movies a year plus 3 different TV shows to keep current, people tuned out.”
While it’s kind of ridiculous that they misread their source, that they haven’t corrected it yet is also fairly disappointing. Unfortunately, not surprising though.
