Maybe I’ve just been lucky, but I’ve never had a problem since the iPhone X with the swiping. Swiping down from the very top of the screen to bring down notifications/Control Center works from everywhere, so that’s pretty easy to control. Swiping down from anywhere to search only works from the home screen, and in the

I remember in the first one, it was mentioned on screen for maybe a sum total of 5-10 seconds. I don’t even remember that being a thing in the second one.

“The ending of the first was pretty, er, raunchy if I remember.”

“the Kingsmen series of raunchy super spy flicks”

Ah, I see. So it’s not that the components themselves are the problem, it’s the “user agreement” that accompanies that contract that is the problem.

“Sharing components with commercial equipment has been a goal of American military procurement in recent years, sometimes complicating maintenance more than it simplifies.”

“Recently, GitHub announced it will change the term “Master repository” to “Main repository” due to the former term’s references to slavery”

The variant I’ve heard is:

No, Apple is not sabotaging them. Hey advertises itself as a free email app, but when you download it, it doesn’t even do basic email functions unless you pay them. They are falsely advertising their app. That’s the problem. They could have easily offered a free (or paid) app that offered basic email functionality,

“Will Apple simply update macOS to better support ARM, or is Apple planning another big software transition similar to what we got when the company moved from Mac OS 9 to OSX.”

This is good to know for the people who don’t want to go through the hassle of selling stuff on Facebook/Craigslist/whatever.

“That’s the crux of the Hey email issue.”

I’ve only ever requested a refund on about 4 apps, but all of those requests were approved within 24 hours, and I never had any issues.  Have you ever tried to go through Apple’s refund process?

“Honestly, Apple needs a competitor for their app store.”

“But those who don’t want to have to deal with that shit shouldn’t have to and should be allowed to charge customers directly.”

“I want to submerge my watch now but I don’t think I should.”

“Either the rule applies to everyone, or it should be a rule.”

“I would buy more apps if I knew I could easily return it”

“up here its $600/week.”
