“The wrinkle also wasn’t present on every Mate X I saw, though that’s not very surprising, as some units probably saw a lot more use than others.”

“that would allow its fordable phone to survive thousands of bends.”

“That seems to be one thing that a good human driver can do pretty well but is figuratively and perhaps literally a blind spot for today’s robots: figuring out that a large object dead ahead is not co-moving traffic with a similar speed.”

Two months ago, I test drove a Model 3 for about 45 minutes, and I specifically tested it in that kind of situation, multiple times. And it worked. Every goddamn time.

In a Mercedes? No problem. You’ll just smash into the barrier. My 2019 GLC’s adaptive cruise control is absolute garbage at detecting non-moving objects.

And the best part is that it’s not even a spoiler; it’s all speculation (I mean, it’s a pretty safe assumption, but still...)!

“That means even days or weeks after you shot a picture, you’ll still be able to adjust a picture’s focus directly in Google Photos”

I thought the same thing too when I read the first paragraph; maybe the author didn’t bother to do any research? Google “usb monitor” turns up a bunch of results. Heck, the first result is a webpage listing all DisplayLink monitors, and I think most of them are not USB-C.

Update 10:30 p.m. It’s now three.

Now playing

It starts at 5:35, and here’s a link to the video starting at that time:

“I asked for opinions from people who are better informed than I am, and I don’t trust a quick Google search.”

It’s probably much thicker though...which definitely hampers pocketability.  Which phone do you have now?

“Regardless, that doesn’t change the main point of the story: you’re a class act, Phil.”

“watching a movie while killing time at an airport etc.) the extra huge screen seems like a win.”

“There’s no headphone jack on the 10e. It’s only available on the 10 and the 10+.”

Right. There is no way they haven’t made their money back by now.  Also, that’s just box office gross.  That’s not including any merchandising (which HAS to be a huge amount) or licensing deals either.

“It’s got all the toys such as heated and cooled seats”

“The Alphard is Toyota’s flagship minivan, as unusual as that segment may seem in the West. It made its debut in 2001, originally aimed at families needing a bit more refinement and space. The second generation brought it upmarket and its third generation cemented its image as the final word in the world of luxury

That we humans are not more like ants.

“Disney is milking every aspect of Star wars and they are gonna make well over $50billion over the next 5-6 yrs (and they bought it for $4B or so). It’s insane”
