rebecca black is definitely an exciting pop artist. i love the ep and i’m happy for her touring to sold out shows.

Jeez buddy I think you’re taking this a little too hard

I know you guys are going way the hell out of your way in pretending you weren't dumping on her ten years ago, but describing someone who's pumping out the most generic shit imaginable as "one of pop's most exciting artists" is beyond the fucking pale.

Part of me feels like you should have waited till tomorrow to post this.

Honestly,  I think the MCU should have went out on top with Endgame and then declared they were tasking a few years off and then rebooting.  I like the MCU, I think they did an amazing job with the idea but I just can’t believe they are going to manage to repeat what they already did.

It’s never too late. We get so much Marvel that fatigue will happen at different times for different people.

Oh hi, are you from the alternate dimension where shitty movies don’t make lots of money? Wow, it must be so weird for you here on our planet.

I mean:

Somehow, some way, “Bring me the code key, Howard,” became an oft quoted movie line among me and my friends in middle school/high school.

But it did work. There are no three seasons in the history of Doctor Who as consistent as the Capaldi era, not even Hinchcliffe/Holmes. Easily the best stuff of Steven Moffat’s career since Press Gang.

It can be for children without being childish, though.

I just hope Chibnall didn’t actually write most of the scripts

Given that the “Timeless Child” throughline was by a long yard the worst thing about the last two seasons and that the few genuinely good episodes of this era have all been one-offs, the idea that Chibnall is concentrating more on a serialized plotline is the opposite of reassuring, as is the fact that he keeps

Most have only done 3 seasons or less, though. The last actor to be the Doctor for more than 3 seasons (not including specials) is Tom Baker, whose 7 year run ended in 1981.

Except... it is a kids show and always has been. If anything the sudden attempt with Capaldi to make it adult-oriented is the anomaly and it didn’t really work which is why most of that run was characterised with “the episode wasn’t great except for Capaldi’s monologue”.

I miss Bill!

a move that, if true, would follow a precedent set by the last two stars, since this would be Whittaker’s third season and both Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi left after three

It has definitely felt like a step back after the amazing Capaldi run.

…maybe he figures if he kills enough of his own fans they’ll stop requesting “Layla” every. Damn. Time?

Guess he wants to test his theory that there’ll be no more tears in heaven.
