Apparently Ana de Armas has been working hard on her Marilyn accent. Possibly hoping for one of those Oscars they seem to distribute for Best Celebrity Impersonation each year.
I don’t understand how people believe in Christian heaven but also reincarnation.
Every episode so far (even Orphan 55) has contained some good stuff without ever really coming together. There were some nice character beats in this one and I felt the pacing was a vast improvement on Praxius, and it was all very promising until the wheels started to come off at the end.
It was very similar to the "The Origin of Love" sequence in Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
this actually feels like the most predictable Oscars in years to me. The current odds on the frontrunners range from 1/2 to 1/20 and the other major awards have been pretty unanimous. 1917, Mendes, Phoenix, Zellweger, Pitt and Dern will win the big six. Chances of an upset are vanishingly small.
I thought she was better in Little Women. Just give her an Oscar for being Laura Dern, I say.

There's no grand finale to recovery. You gotta do it every day.
This and Spyfall we’re both a bit hyperactive for my taste. I don’t mind zippy pacing but it feels like they’re trying to disguise weak plotting by not lingering on anything too long.
To be fair, the audience has changed a bit since the classic era. There are more adults than kids watching, and the kids who watvh are pretty savvy.
Yeah, I like to think that Todd will give him another chance, but this time it'll be on Todd's terms. Hooray!
Nice detail: Todd & Bojack's footprints get washed away by the tide while they're standing there.
For me, the show has always been about a single question, which is when is it too late? Too late for salvation, too late to fix your mistakes, too late to be the person you want.
This has perhaps been my favorite TV show of all time and the AV Club recaps were a big part of the whole experience. Thanks Les.
Somebody once told me
The line reads immediately afterwards are absolutely immaculate:
Oooh, I did miss that part.
Hey, maybe the people who’ve known each other twelve years and love hanging out and make each other laugh and discovered they had amazing chemistry when they kissed should, I dunno...date each other?
