Rampage has, like, 30 shits and a few assholes in it and is still PG-13. It also has a sad surprising amount of gore but at least no one said fuck or showed a nipple.

I read Airheads as an elegy for 80s hair metal. The characters are aware that 90s grunge is going to sweep it all away in a whirlwind of irony and introspection, and they want to rawwwwwk one last time.

I forget everything about it except the really great climactic scene involving Suede’s “The Next Life”.

Reminder that acting awards are for the actor, not the character. If haven’t seen Three Billboards yet, but even if Rockwell is playing a bad character in a bad movie, the crucial thing is how well he plays it. It’s a technical award, not a plebiscite on institutional racism.

So my take on the ice cream thing is totally different: BoJack shatters the illusion when he mentions the ice cream, because she never had ice cream back then. Bea gives a kind of furtive look at that point. I think she knows she’s being lied to and is dimly aware that something bad is happening.
