I was under the same impression and have seen charts showing huge drop offs between 1970 - 1972. I found this on Wikipedia regarding measuring HP:

Cue all the comments about how it won’t be a real drag race because the cars aren’t loud and the fact stupid opinion that whatever noise the car makes is more important than the race itself.

I suppose it all comes down to what is needed. I personally, don’t have the need for something that can traverse logging roads and streams (that is what my feet and mountain bike are for). However, I could easily see using the Pickman’s 1000 pound cargo capacity to move stuff from one place to another when my wife

Given that a John Deere Gator starts around $7,300 (and $11,000 for an electric model), this looks like it would be easily a nice alternative for back yard stuff. I would love that it is a lot more quiet, too.

The headliner sags, just like in my Saab!

Where is Fancy Kristen to ridicule the interiors and laughably consider this as a tender for her much larger and more expensive real yachts?

It would probably not be feasible, but if the race is red flagged, the clock should stop. Start it up again when cars are on the track.

Maybe the house can’t sell because it is ugly and needs $1.7 million in renovations to make it attractive enough to a potential buyer.

Cool, thanks for the link!

Call me crazy, but I am more interested in that groovy looking Jeep. What is the story there?

I have been using CutePDF for several years and it has always been reliable. There is a free version, but the ‘pro’ version costs $50, and allows you do do a bit more. http://www.cutepdf.com/

Hmmmmm.......July 20th race at Lime Rock, any chance for a Jalopnik event there?

I would like to go back to a time where cars had, what I am going to call: hyperbadging, where cars, usually from the 80s and had a turbo, told the world of their turbo-ness, with slanted, speedy looking letters stuck to every surface of the car, both interior and exterior. It can be done with any other item,

Stupid question, but what is the likely cost of a bro-truck build?

The Milgauss is about the only Rolex that appeals to me, nice choice!

Jesus, dude, did you even try?

I want to start my own business and I’m willing to not earn very much while starting up, but there’s no way I could afford insurance premiums buying an individual plan.

Granted, people have been asking for this for a long time, but now that it is here, will they actually follow through? If the entry price is going to be in the mid-40s for this thing, my opinion is that it will be a hard sell to people cross shopping with a 4 door Tacoma. I think Wrangler owners (me bing one of them),

Agreed, having a hard time seeing this being successful. The name alone is enough for me to never buy it.

Having packed a Veloster for a family of 4 and 2 weiner dogs, it is surprising how much will fit in it's hatch.
