Just to Get a Rep:

I see you

I watched another 4 episodes of Luke Cage to discuss with Scrawler. I'll discuss them below

cannot fucking wait.

this movie is unimaginable without Glover too. So thank god for good casting agents

the sum of its parts are less than them individually

i dont know i could see the case for Stevie Wonder thinking blindness is the worst thing ever, because let me tell you, Stevie Wonder ain't blind

its good! book 2 is the weakest part of it and that even had the two best episodes it did in it. Book 3 was great, and book 4 was pretty damn good.

but it is probably because i commented from an avclub account not a disqus one

yes

Nixon did the end run around Wallace by adopting the law and order strategy and rhetoric, which cemented Nixon's southern strategy and gave us the electoral map that we know today

it is funny how everyone interpreted this so negatively, when i meant that his status as a Mormon gave Utahns an out from voting for Trump, someone who so clearly embodies so much of the values they despise. Basically, there is nothing special about McMullin, other than he is a conservative Mormon and the Republican

this is actually kinda why i started it now! i had never dove into it and was looking for something kinda special

could also be boxing, i have heard that refer to boxing occasionally. (horse racing is the most common though)

which sport of kings is the sport of kings about?

MORE SPOILERS HO

you have probably been too busy in the john oliver thread but in case you missed it what are you reading is up

Rothfuss I think is much more indulgent than usual for fantasy, though all fantasy is indulgent to a degree

I have read Drood and i like about half of it before it went off the rails

i think this is a problem of two things: 1) modern day fantasy is all about world building and world building takes time, meaning that you have less time to tell a story so you make a series. 2) LOTR set the standard, everything else in fantasy just follows. still.
