You know for like $10k less you can get a limited with the hybrid and the TRD off road package. You don’t get the red upper control arms or the heritage grill but it’ll do 99% of what this thing would do.

The trees in those orchards are only good for 25ish years before they stop producing. You have to remove them, and replant. Once you replant you have another 7-10 years before they are productive again.
Sargent hasn’t been good at all but it sure seems like going to some F2 driver is them just giving up any chance at points with that car.
I mean if you can get massage seats in a tractor, why not your pick-up?
I’ve looked at it, and I looked really hard at a lightning when they were stacking up on dealer lots a few months ago. I think a BEV would work pretty good for me 355 days out of the year. The hang-ups I have is I’m not generally an early adopter, we didn’t get a hybrid in our house until 2 years ago and those 10 days…
I saw a guy on reddit(I think?) who what that same complaint decided to do something about it and replaced that shifter with a traditional automatic gear selector out of a Ranger or an F150. I don’t mind change but this thing really looks like a classic example of a solution looking for a problem.
I’m one of those new Tundra owners. I really like that truck. I’ve spent a lot of time in a newer F-150 too but I prefer the Tundra over it. The climate controls are easier to use and that screen is massive. The thing the F150 does better is the power supply in the bed.
You mean the UAW is ran by a crook? You could knock me over with a feather.
I’m sure it’s fast and the technology is cool but I just don’t care. Part of the experience of a race is the sound of the engines that’s one of the reasons nobody cares about Formula E. Like what channel is it even on? I have no idea. I do know how to watch NASCAR, F1 and Indycar. Road cars going electric is fine, the…
It probably was faster. Those 4.6 engines were amazing for the time aftercoming out of the 5.0 Fox body boat anchor days but compared to a modern engine 20 years later they aren’t all that impressive anymore. I had a blast running around Palos Verdes in LA with it for a day.
I got a 4 banger Mustang with that 10 speed last spring as a rental and though it was pretty good. I’ve owned 3 Mustangs over the years and that thing was almost as fast as my ‘05 GT. It held pretty good going around corners, acceleration was pretty good and the interior was comfortable. Once the kids are out of the…
John Force is probably talking when he’s unconscious too. He’s a god damn national treasure.
We just hired a guy from the team that did the MachE and every time I see him I give him a hard time about naming a 4 door car a Mustang and threaten to burn him at the stake like we used to do to blasphemers.
I like it but luckily for my wife it doesn’t have the 5 speed or I’d be on the phone trying to buy it.
My 2024 Tundra gets a couple mpg better mileage than my 3rd gen Tacoma was getting. Went from 16ish to 18ish mpg based on 3 months of ownership so far.
The Greta Thunberg sticker is a nice touch.
That seems completely opposite of how engineering interns are treated where I work. They get a bunch of swag and haul them around to intern events but the work they do over the summer is usually pretty mundane. I think the last one we had in my department spent all summer doing component mass audits so we could…
One of these days I’m going to buy myself an entry level Tag but it isn’t going to be one of these.
I feel for the Union at the stamping plant but I had to chuckle a little when he called their products world class.
I’ve got a 2024 Tundra with the hybrid and around town I’m beating the gas mileage I got in my 2016 Tacoma by a couple mpg’s. After 1500 miles I’m sitting just a little under 18mpg combined with 60% of that being in town. I’m sure the pro takes a little bit of a hit with the factory lift on it though.
